The Real Housewives Of Orange County Recap 4/29/13: Season 8 Episode 5

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY returns to Bravo tonight with a whole new episode called, “The Party Is DONE!.” On tonight’s episode Vicki finds herself forced to choose sides in the wake of Tamra and Alexis’ dinner party fight. Did you watch last week’s season premiere? We did and we recapped it here for you HERE!

On last week’s show Alexis was shocked when Vicki invited her to a party at Tamra’s new gym — but not as shocked as when she found out that Tamra said it’s OK. Lydia made a splash when she revealed that she’s been invited to Tamra’s party — by her old friend Alexis Bellino. Meanwhile, Gretchen and Slade tried to keep their relationship strong while dealing with challenging personal issues close to home. Then, on the night of the big party, Tamra wondered if she’s made a huge mistake by allowing Alexis to come when things quickly spun out of control.

On tonight’s show when Tamra explodes and kicks Alexis out of her party, all hell breaks loose. While Heather and Gretchen are happy to see Alexis go, Vicki is torn between her alliance with Alexis and her renewed friendship with former BFF Tamra. Alexis screams that she’s being bullied again, but Lydia disagrees. In the aftermath, Gretchen heads to New York to support Slade as he deals with the hardest challenge he’s ever faced. Lydia encourages a reluctant Alexis to reach out to her enemies and make amends, while Vicki’s son-in-law drops a bomb about her boyfriend Brooks.

Tonight’s episode is going to be filled with the usual Housewife drama and you won’t want to miss it, so be sure to tune in for our live coverage of the show tonight at 8 PM EST! Just after Tamra kicked out Alexis; Alexis is outside with Lydia complaining about what happened.

Back in the party, Gretchen tells Vicki how it wasn’t bullying because Alexis came back. She’s taken crap from them and here she stands. Heather on the other hand tries to tell Tamra to calmed down. Especially with Vicki who didn’t go after Alexis but instead stayed. Gretchen then gets in an argument with Vicki for even bringing Alexis with her to the party.

Lydia goes back into the building to figure out what Vicki is going to do. Vicki decides to stay but she will go outside to say goodbye to Alexis. Lydia and Vicki are both trying to calm down a nearly hysterical Alexis in the car when she continues to throw out the word bullying. Surprisngly, Lydia tells her it wasn’t bullying and she did sign up for it.

Tamra decides to go outside to talk to Alexis despite everyone else at her dinner telling not to. She doesn’t make presence right off. Instead she overhears the trio in the car. When she does enter the conversation, she talks to Alexis with more words that curses this time. Alexis tells her how she thought everyone had grown and changed like she did but instead she got the same thing like last year. Tamra simply tells her then just don’t come around them anymore.

Tamra goes back into the party and tells everyone what she overheard.

Vicki and Lydia go to collect their bags when Tamra confronts Vicki about supporting Alexis. An argument breaks out between the women until finally Vicki and Lydia are able to leave. They miss out on Tamra giving them the finger as they go. The dinner continues with the Psychic cleansing the gym space and giving positive energy. The rest of the girls go home.

Vicki is at home with Brianna. Her grandson is sick and Brianna is worried. It’s not the most opportune time because Vicki’s family is flying in to see the baby for the first time. But she’s glad to be close with Brianna again.

Gretchen is at her house packing. She’s going to fly out to New York to be with Slade. His son isn’t doing well. With the little boy not doing so well she now thinks the fighting and etc just seems insignificant.

Tamra is telling her fiancée about the dinner. She tells him about how Alexis is on Xanax and how Vicki is a bitch when she’s around Alexis. He wants to put the whole ordeal behind them so he brings up their wedding. He tells her that she’s the one that has to do the wedding stuff if they do plan on getting married. The deal was engagement for a year and it’s been seven months already. Tamra can’t help but to feel as if he’s dragging his feet.

Vicki’s family arrives. Her family still want her to be with her ex. Her brother however likes Brooks. Her family is full of personality. Her mom recently got arrested for keying someone’s motorcycle and joking to the cop about having a gun.

Lydia goes to visit Alexis. They talk about the dinner. Lydia tells her to forgive them and she also states she would never have gone if she was Alexis. Lydia asks her why they all have a problem with Alexis. Lydia also tells Alexis to talk with Heather, one on one. In her aside Lydia admits she knows why the other girls don’t like her. It’s because Lydia can’t take criticism without getting defensive.

Vicki’s son-in-law, Ryan, tells Vicki’s brother how Brooks isn’t welcome here. He put up surveillance cameras to keep Brooks. He then tells Billy how Brooks was acting. Like when Brooks tried to pick up some prostitutes. The kids had told Vicki that they don’t want Brooks around their son.

Vicki goes out to lunch with her son and brother. Billy brings up the tension back at the house. Even her son also says Brianna and her husband are too extreme about the situation with Brooks.

On next week’s promo, Vicki is back at it with Brooks when she finds out he’s dating other people, Heather’s decision about returning to work is upsetting her husband, and we get to learn a little bit more about Lydia. As of right Lydia is the only without drama in her life. Will or better yet can she remain this normal? Tell me your thoughts below.
