Tonight on the ABC Family THE VINEYARD continues with a new episode called, “Hook-ups and Let-Downs.” On tonight’s show Katie opens up to Gabby about her new love life. Did you watch last week’s episode? We did and we recapped it right here for you.
On last week’s show Jon stepped up his pursuit of Katie, much to Luis’ chagrin; Jackie kissed Luis, igniting jealousy in Katie; Ben gave Sophi a tour of the island via boat; Jon and Luis’ rivalry got them in trouble at work.
On tonight’s show Jackie is enamored with Lou, but he’s still fixated on Katie; an unlikely pair must sneak around; Cat warns Sophi to keep her distance from Ben; Sophi gets the courage to perform at an open-mike event; Katie opens up to Gabby about her love life.

Jackie and Luis kissed last week and now Jackie is all excited but Luis is already preparing a way to let her down easily. The kiss mustn’t have been that great.
Everyone is weighing in on the kiss. Some are skeptical and Daniel is surprisingly optimistic. Jackie optimism just took a nosedive. She was telling her mom about “The kiss” when she mentions Luis’s nickname, Lu. Her mom can’t help but to remember that Katie was just over the other day when Katie talked about reconnecting with someone named Lu. Katie is one of the people skeptical over Luis and Jackie.
As the Jackie/Luis romance begins to fizzle out the possibilities of a Ben/Sophie begins to heat up that is if Cat allows it. She immediately issues Sophie a warning. Stay away from Ben and out of her life. She claims she doesn’t want Ben for herself. She says she’s protecting him from a “summer girl”.
Cat is still ranting about Sophie when she runs into Luis. Luis asks what her real motivation is because he’s also suspicious. Cat and Ben did used to date. Cat turns the table though with her own questions. What’s Luis going to do about Jackie? He says he’s going to try and be honest without being a jerk. He probably won’t have to do a lot. Ever since her mom dropped the tidbit about Katie, Jackie is going over in her head about Katie and Luis.
Jon and Emily are hooking up. They’re keeping it hush hush for now. In other words she has to hide in the backseat so there’s no witness. It looks harmless and purely for fun on the other hand you never know where these things go. Fun now, serious tomorrow.
The moment Luis is finished letting down Jackie; he make a date with Katie. A romantic picnic on the beach. He says its thanks for what she did on his birthday. Never mind the fact Jackie threw a party for his birthday. The first thing he does is tell her that nothing is going happen between him and Jackie. Their light flirting leads them to taking a nap, no really a nap on the beach together. And he loves every minute of their “friendship”. It doesn’t matter, according to Cat, she has a boyfriend. This summer he’s going to make his move.
Sophie dumped Ben after the whole Cat confrontation. Maybe Cat was right that she didn’t really care about Ben. She’s already looking out for a new guy. Meanwhile Ben goes running back to Cat. Those two get back together and it’s Sophie who?
Gabby is the keeper of secrets. At least she was supposed to be. Katie told her what happened between her and Luis but barely a day passes before she tells Jackie what happened. She storms off to go hunt Katie down. She finds her hanging out with the group and takes her aside. Jackie is ticked off especially since Katie didn’t come to her first but went to Gabby instead. Can their friendship survive or will Jackie always feel that Katie was what stopped her from getting Lu?
