The Voice RECAP 6/17/13: Season 4 – The Live Final Performances

We are down to the top 3 contestants and we are in the FINALS on this season of THE VOICE.  On tonight’s show the three remaining artists go all out for your votes in the final night of performances. Did you watch last week’s episodes where two contestants were sent home? We did and we recapped it for you here.

On last week’s show Danielle Bradbery, Amber Carrington, Sasha Allen, Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers wait anxiously on The Voice stage, knowing that tonight, two of them will be heading home. With the votes tallied, it’s was a matter of time before the Season 4 finalists are announced to the world.  By the end of the show Amber Carrington and Sasha Allen were sent home much to the shock of their coaches Adam Levine and Shakira.  Both coaches are also left without singers in the competition.

On tonight’s show the final vocalists compete for the title of The Voice – in the final phase of competition, the remaining artists perform in front of coaches Adam Leving, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher during a live broadcast.  One artist will be a step closer to being named “The Voice.”   Who are you rooting for to win the voice?  Is your favorite still in the competition, let us know!!

On tomorrow night’s final result show when one singer will be announced The Voice it will feature special guest performances from Cher, Bruno Mars, Georgia Line and Nelly. It will be Cher’s first live television performance in 10 years.

Tonight is the final time the contestants have to impress America.  In the end it all comes down to America’s vote to judge who wins The Voice Season 4.

The show kicks off tonight with the judges performing, “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

First up tonight is The Swon Brothers performing, I Can’t Tell You Why by the Eagles [VIDEO HERE]

Judges Comments: Usher said, “It is great you guys finally found the girl part of your life.  The only thing missing was the third Bee Gee, great to see you guys evolving.  Hope it does well for you.”  Shakira said, “I am a fan, I thought it was a very good idea for you to do this song, this new you.  It quite suits you.  I think what you have that is so special is that you have Universal appeal.”  Adam Levine said, “I totally am flattered, they did this song for me because I am a huge Eagle fan.  You guys did a great job”  Blake Shelton said, “I seriously think this is the best season of the Voice so far.  You are constantly evolving and it keeps expanding your fans.  Great job!”

Judges Comments: Shakira said, ‘I am so happy you are here, your energy is crazy.  I am glad that America has seen how incredible you are.  I know you are needed out there as an artist.”  Adam said, “You can feel the energy out there, you cannot fabricate that, it is created as a result of what you do.  What cannot be reproduced is the people singing with you, congratulations!”  Blake said, “To see you becoming a rock star, I have to acknowledge this is reality for you.”  Usher said, “The Winner! – you know this was a defining moment – many years from now we will be able to look at this performance.  You are incredible!”

Judges comments: Usher said, “The fact that they personalize it makes it define them.  You guys did that song such justice.  What an incredible rendition, amazing.”  Adam said, “I got lost in.  Everything that Usher said.  That is such as classic record, and you continued the legacy of an old song.  You should be proud.”  Blake said, “That feels like that song could be on radio right now.  You took that song and you reinvented it, good for you guys.  Your harmonies get better every time your perform it.”

Judges comments: Shakira said, “That was beautiful, it is established how much I like you as an artist.  I think people should know how humble you are, you have the perfect combination.”  Blake said, “Man, first of all I am still freaked out about that mirror trick.  Anyway besides the fact it was refreshing to see a more laid back performance.  Probably a good time to show that.”  Usher said, “I thought she was phenomenal, I think she is phenomenal.”

Judges comments: Shakira said, “I think that what you have done in this competition is that you grabbed the bull by the horns.  You are so amazing, that a girl.”  Adam Levine said, “I am upset Blake snagged you.  You did the right thing with Danielle.  Your voice is so perfect, one of the better I have heard.  I think you are the winner.”  Blake said, “Hearing you do that song again in all seriousness was so exciting.  That song is when America went OMG I met a star.  You reminded us why you are so important, thank you!”

Judges comments: Usher said, “It’s obvious that your did a great thing by electing to go with Blake.  You are definitely special.”  Adam Levine said, “What else can I say, your perfection is boring, you are amazing you are too good.”  Blake Shelton said, “As your coach I would like to say coachy things, but honestly I am one of the millions of people you have wrapped around your finger.”
