No one likes when a celeb acts like a huge douche bag to children. I guess Tiger Woods forgot this while practicing for the U.S. Open in Ardmore, PA. First off, I understand that athletes of all kinds need their space to focus when playing or training, I totally get that. However once they wrap up, if a bunch of kids have spent hours in the rain watching them, maybe a bit of acknowledgment isn’t a bad idea.
According to the July 8th print edition of Star Magazine many of the other pro golfers – even the ones that ultimately did well in this tournament, stuck around to sign some autographs and make some kids happy. Tiger on the other hand couldn’t leave fast enough, leaving a pile of soaking wet kids in tears because they were this close to their idol only to be snubbed!
Ironically, Tiger has been trying to make a comeback in the court of public opinion. Perhaps meeting and greeting his youngest fans would go a long way towards making their parents respect him. A whole lot more than staged photo ops with his trick of the moment, Lindsey Vonn, ever will anyway!
Ironically, Tiger completely bombed in this tournament making it 5 years since he has managed to win a major golf title. Some might consider that a touch of karma, don’t you think? Will he ever really get back into the good graces of the general public again? We have seen stars locked in huge scandals find their way out but that doesn’t seem to be the case for the disgraced golfer.
