Anna and Josh are getting ready to go to Priscilla’s baby gender reveal party. The guests at the gender reveal party are going to wear the color representing the gender they hope the baby is.

The Duggars are taking a unique route on their RV trip from DC to Chicago in order to hit some vacation spots.   The batteries are dead in the RV and Josh is worried that they won’t have any power. He has to call for help to get it fixed.

He goes inside and tells Anna that there will be a minimum 2 hour long delay while they wait to get the batteries recharged. Anna decides to stay calm, play with the kids and let Josh deal with the mechanics.

The mechanic, Todd, tells them they are going to take the RV back to the shop and replace the dead batteries.

Going through Pennsylvania, they stop at a fruit stand in Amish Country in PA and get some fruits to take along with them during the trip.   The family goes to Gettysburg, where a general greets them. Then, they are given canteens and hats and sent to defend Devil’s Den.

They go into town and into a Victorian style portrait studio, where they dress up and get their family portrait taken with an ancient camera.

Taking the scenic route for their trip has slowed the Duggar RV down to 25 mph, but Anna is worried about getting to Chicago on time. They’re a little bit behind, but they reach Bedford, PA, and go see the world’s largest coffee pot. The last stop they want to make before finishing the day is in Ohio.  As they head off, Josh finds that it is hard to steer. He gets off an exit and examines the car. Immediately he can see something is wrong, and examines the car to find that they had blown their main power steering line. He fixes it and they head off again.

They visit the Topiary Park in Columbus, OH and then go to the Indiana State Fair. On the way to the fair, they notice parts of a patch they put on the back of their RV are flying off, which Josh patches up.

At the fair, Josh gets motion sickness after riding some of the rides.  They find a doughnut burger stand and Josh buys one for them to try. Their healthy eating plan is temporarily put on hold.

As they near Chicago, they stop at a farm that has a birthing center where a calf is born every hour. The area where the births occur has seating for an audience. Anna talks about how she and Josh want to have new children, but she is happy she’s not having another one right now.

The family continues their unhealthy eating by going to the famous Dell Rhea’s Chicken Basket outside of Chicago. “I’m just glad we are on vacation, ‘cause calories don’t count right now,” Josh says.

After she asks the waitress several questions about the restaurant’s unique fried chicken, she is invited to try it herself in their kitchen with the cook. She tries to get the recipe, and he tells her she will get it for a couple million dollars.

Josh says it’s disappointing but probably for the betterment of their health that they can’t make this at home.

THE END!
