Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can start their own family circus, the way they’re going. One of them has a movie role, the entire clan follows, along with the media zoo. However, it is interesting that as Angelina segues into writing and directing, she and Brad are looking for more collaborations to work on together. I wonder why it took them this long to agree to do a film together, but I guess they didn’t want to bring any undue attention on their family. Regardless, the movie that they’re currently planning on filming together is very small and very personal, but the movie that will come next definitely will not be.
What is this next movie, you ask? Why, none other than the long-gestating Cleopatra, which has been stuck in development hell for years. Angelina has been trying to get the project off for a long time, and she’s even hinted at retiring from acting after she shoots that. Of course, what better way to go out with a bang than by playing Cleopatra? And even better if her entire family stars in the movie with her, which is what the latest report from Life & Style suggests.
It’s not that weird that Brad and her kids would co-star in the movie with her. Most of her children had brief appearances in Maleficent, with Vivienne Jolie-Pitt even having a small supporting role with dialogue and screen time. Plus, she and Brad are clearly interested in collaborating with each other, and if Cleopatra ends up being Angie’s last movie, it makes sense that they would go all-out in making it.
Then again, Angelina and Brad might want to think twice about allowing their children to act in so many movies. Life & Style’s source explains, “Their whole family life is rooted in films but Brad and Ange didn’t want the children to follow in their footsteps. However, acting is in their genes, and it could turn out to be the start of something big for the next generation.”
Yeah, at least one of the Jolie-Pitt children is going to end up becoming an actor, and I’m betting that it will either be Zahara or Vivienne. Even if Brad and Angelina try to prevent that from happening, there’s no way that every single one of their kids will avoid the entertainment industry – especially when they’ve had so much exposure to film sets in their formative years.
