Clint Eastwood‘s extremely good-looking son, Scott Eastwood, first landed on everyone’s radars earlier in 2013 when he posed in a series of revealing modeling shots. Then, he revealed his acting interest, which was obviously given a lot of coverage due to his father’s illustrious name. But does he have what it takes to make in Hollywood? More and more, looks are becoming less important, with talent and hard work gaining prominence.
According to a report from the National Enquirer, Scott has been getting some A-list advice on the set of his first major Hollywood movie, Fury. Coincidentally enough, that advice is apparently coming from Brad Pitt, who himself had to go through pretty-boy type casting before he proved his acting mettle with Fight Club and 12 Monkeys, among others.
A source tells the Enquirer, “Being a longtime hunk, Brad is an expert on how to rise above the label of being a pretty boy actor. And he’s advised Scott to ditch the beefcake photos and work on his acting skills. He told Scott to hunker down, get some acting chops and pick his film projects carefully.”
On the outset, Brad and Scott definitely have a lot in common. Both are extremely good-looking actors, and just as Brad was type cast for a long time, it’s likely that Scott will be offered many, many cookie cutter roles. However, Brad worked extremely hard for his success, taking more than a decade to hit the mainstream. That’s because he didn’t rely on his good looks to get through, and he had no family connections to take advantage of. Scott, on the other hand, already has the family connections, but does he have the talent and perseverance that Brad had? We’ll have to wait and find out.
