The promo for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 has been released, and everyone’s talking about how Lisa Vanderpump gets bitch-slapped. The identity of the slapper didn’t remain a mystery for long, despite Bravo’s efforts to manufacture more drama out of the ‘secret’. Lisa Vanderpump went and spilled the details to Billy Bush, revealing that it was, in fact, Brandi Glanville who slapped her.
It must have been all that pent up aggression over LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, even though Brandi likes to pretend that she’s over the whole thing. Granted, Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump used to be ‘friends’, which in Real Housewives terminology means that they bitched about each other every other day instead of every day. But you know, even these ‘friends’ have their limits, and alcohol often helps them cross it.
The producers are never going to discourage the stars from boozing it up and getting into fights, since that almost always equals more ratings for them. But Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump seem particularly intoxicated throughout this whole video, as do most of the other housewives. I mean, I know they treat drinking as some sort of Olympic sport, but couldn’t they rein it down even a little? There’s drama for ratings’ sake, and then there’s drama that’s just completely insane and pointless – and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills often falls into the latter. Oh well, it just means more entertainment for us.
