RECAP: At Drew’s funeral, Elena gives his eulogy. She says he was at war with himself about people he hurt. She says you can lose yourself with dark thoughts in hurt. Emma watches from behind a tree nearby in tears. Elena helps Carmen from the car back at Southfork. The Ewings are at her place and Bobby and Christopher asks what they can do. Carmen says they’ve done enough already. Bobby tries to touch her and she lashes out and yells at him in Spanish.

Elena pulls out the letter and tells them she knows they framed Cliff Barnes and says this ends now. Nicolas is there and isn’t happy about her confronting them directly. Back at the big house, Pamela shows up at Elena’s request and she tells her that her dad didn’t kill JR and shows her the letter that JR wrote and gave to Bobby. Ann is in shock and Elena explains the cover up.

Ann asks Bobby to explain himself and he says JR was dying of cancer and arranged his own murder that he then pinned on Cliff so the family could end the feud and move forward. He says he lied but also says he gave Cliff a chance to confess to blowing up the rig and killing their grandchildren. Bobby says Cliff had no regrets and he doesn’t either. Christopher tells Pamela that Cliff had it coming.

Sue Ellen is furious that all the men knew. Elena says JR’s plan wasn’t to end a feud but to save his reputation and to make him seem like less of a monster. John Ross asks what’s the point and says there is nothing innocent about Cliff. Pamela says her dad did the same things that they do. They ask Elena why this is even her concern.

She gives Bobby the stack of documents and shows him the deed to her family’s property that KR switched the deeds to and that he stole and left them with a dry worthless rock that her father died drilling and that sent her brother off the deep end. She says JR ruined her family and what she wants is her brother and father back but says she’ll settle for restitution.

Christopher asks how she found out and she says Cliff told her. She says he approached her and showed her that they were both wronged by the Ewings. Nicolas steps up and Christopher attacks him. Elena says they are childhood friends and she brought him there to help her. Bobby tells her this has gone on long enough. He asks what she wants and she says if they want her silence she wants the money they made off her land and a piece of the Ewing lands.

They ask what Cliff wants and Nicolas says he wants out of jail. Christopher attacks Nicolas and it’s a brawl. Bobby stops it and asks Nicolas to leave. Elena says to get her an answer by 8 pm. John Ross tells her she sure got what she wanted last night. Nicolas hear this and isn’t happy. John Ross argues with Christopher and Bobby against paying off Elena.

He says it’s Christopher’s fault for kicking her to the curb and making her a spiteful bitch. Bobby says it’s his problem to deal with but John Ross says he refuses to let her get away with it. Sue Ellen comes in to speak to Bobby alone and she says she wants to know word for word what he wrote. She shows him a letter he sent her about having dinner with her when he got back to Dallas.

She says it’s garbage and tears it up. She asks why he lied to her if he really loved her and asks why he didn’t tell her he was sick and give her a chance to say goodbye. Bobby says he doesn’t know and says he wanted to spare her and the family grief. She asks who really killed JR. He says he owes her that much but he won’t tell her. She tells him Miss Ellie would be ashamed of him.

John Ross finds Pamela outside and he asks her for a chance to fix things. She says she wants him to stop breaking things. He says he hasn’t lied to her and she says he never told her the truth. Bobby tells her to take her anger out on him. Pamela says she expects lies from John Ross, but not from Bobby. She says she expected better from him and leaves.

Ann comes out tells him he’s the strongest man she knows and calls him a hypocrite for calling her on the mat for lying. She says she could have helped him or stopped him and he says no one can stop him from protecting the family, not even her. She says he’s right and walks away. He’s completely alone. Bobby destroys his office in frustration.

Nicolas chews out Elena for not holding out for two days for the IPO. He says taking over the company is a greater justice and would be a public execution. She says she’s tired of secrets and he asks how she knows about the letter. She says her mom told her. He asks how she got it from John Ross and she says she stole it from his wallet at work.

He says they haven’t been in sync and says he did something behind her back too – she says the video he sent to Pamela – and he says he’s just trying to help her. He gets a call from Luis who says it’s very important that they get Ewing Global at the IPO so they can launder all their money. He says if they don’t get it, there will be no place for him or Elena to hide. Nicolas says Elena is an innocent but Luis won’t hear that.

Emma goes to see Luis and he tells her he will take care of her little dad problem for the extra trucks. She says she doesn’t want her dad dead, just in jail. He asks if she likes the Beach Boys and he says they are one of his favorites. He says he doesn’t know her and knows her dad and grandma are both good business people but he’s not sure if he can trust her with his business or if she’s a mad, spoiled girl who’s dad took her T-bird away.

Emma tells him she doesn’t know him either other than he has men with machine guns guarding him and that he likes the Beach Boys. She says they can go from there. Harris is in an alley to meet someone who sneaks up on him. He asks what the emergency is – it’s his fed friend. He tells him they’ve been keeping an eye on his daughter and they have a big problem.

Emma comes home and asks why Ann is there. Harris asks why she met with the cartel and says he was having her followed. She says she’s making a better deal. Her dad tells her he’s not in business with criminals, but the CIA. He says that’s why he brought Ann there. Her mom says she was shocked but it’s true. He says the CIA is using the trucks to monitor the cartel for a big operation.

He tells her that her day trip to meet Luis could have fatal consequences. Emma asks why he didn’t tell her and he says he didn’t trust her and with good reason. He tells her to grow up and he asks what deal she made. She says he wants to move more drugs and she says she agreed but left out the part about him going back to jail.

Sue Ellen comes to see Bum. He lets her in his place and she looks around at his art supplies and easels then asks if he has something to tell her about JR’s death. She says he was JR’s most trusted friend. Bum tells her he’s sorry and she yells at him about shooting JR and robbing her of her goodbye. She says she should have been the first one to know he was sick and should have been there with him.

She asks if he was in pain but Bum says JR was brave and loved her very much. Sue Ellen sits down for a cry. Bum hands her a tissue. She looks at a sketch of JR and realizes he painted the portrait that hands at Ewing Global. Bum sits and says it was Bobby’s idea and he says he was honored to do it. Bum says he was taking JR to Mexico for his treatments and he was worried about his hair and the chemo.

He says JR told him if he lost they eyebrows not to tell Sue Ellen because she had been trying to tweeze them for 50 years and would be devastated that chemo got to them first. Bum asks her forgiveness and she says he’s not the one she needs to forgive. It’s past deadline time at Elena’s and there are no Ewings there.

She, Nicolas and Carmen wait together. Carmen says she knew they would try to wriggle their way out of it and says she can’t go back to work for them. Nicolas says she’ll be rich and she says she lost her husband and her son and that’s not rich. There’s a knock. Christopher says he’s there to talk to Elena alone. She tells them it’s okay and steps outside with him. Nicolas glares.

He takes her to the barn and he asks if she remembers when they and John Ross were teenagers and snuck out with fake IDs. He reminds her that she was upset that they broke laws and made them pour out the booze and cut up the IDs. He says the Elena he knew wouldn’t seek out justice like this – he says Nicolas and Cliff are using her. She says she’s just jealous.

He tells her she’s not the one that got away – he says, you’re just gone. Bobby comes in and she asks if he’s made a decision. He tells her to come talk. They go into his office which is utterly destroyed. She sits and asks what he decides. He says he’ll give her what she asked for and something she didn’t ask for – an apology. He says she could have had it all without burning bridges and hurting people.

Elena tells him they can disagree – she says there are too many lives ruined and lies in Southfork. He says he’s getting Cliff released. He’s been pardoned. He says it depends on what she decides to do. He tells her Cliff will not let the feud die and says he’ll stop her any way he has to. He asks if she wants more bloodshed and she says that’s not her problem.

He tells her he understands her wanting justice for what JR did to her family, but says her taking the Ewing/Barnes feud out for a walk if inviting it to bite and says she’ll be to blame for that. Elena takes the pardon and looks at it. He asks if she has something for him. She hands over the letter and he snatches it. He asks what piece of land she wants and she says she does. Bobby tells her she broke his heart today.

Elena calls Cliff and says he’ll be getting Ewing Global. She also tells him she got the proof of the frame up and says he’s getting a pardon. He’s thrilled and thanks her. She says they’re done and he says it’s far from down. He says he’s not stopping until he wipes them off the face of the earth. He laughs evilly and says he couldn’t have done it without her.

Bum finds John Ross at the office and he asks if he found anything he can use at Elena. Bum says she’s cleaner than Mother Teresa. He tells him he traced who sent the video to Pamela and says it was Nicolas. Elena comes to see Sue Ellen. She asks for Pamela but Sue Ellen tries to send her on her way until Pamela sees her and wants to speak to her.

Elena tells her she made a deal with Bobby and she says she asks for the land that Jock took from her grandfather. She hands her the lease and says they can’t erase the wounds but can stop the bleeding. She also hands her the pardon for her dad and says she can use it or burn it. She tells Pamela if he’s released, he’s going after the Ewings and says it’s not her call to make.

Christopher is searching through boxes and finds some letters that make him pause in thought. John Ross comes to Nicolas’ place and gets in his face. He tells him he knows he sent the video and Nicolas says Pamela took his betrayal hard. John Ross asks if Elena told him how she got JR’s letter. He says she came to him last night and tells him to figure out what happened from there.

John Ross says he was shocked that Elena could be such a thieving whore. He turns and walks out with an evil little smile and tells them on the way out they can both go to hell. Nicolas says he knows the Ewings drove her to do it and says he’s sorry he wasn’t there to stop her from degrading herself. Elena cries and says she needs him now more than ever. She says she wants to stop hurting people and says they need to get away from here. He says – let’s get away.

Bobby looks at his wedding photo he broke in his tantrum. Christopher comes in and says he found some letters he and Elena wrote back and forth when they were teenagers. He tells him she had a friend in Mexico named Joaquin. He thinks that’s Nicolas. Nicolas calls Victor who tells him the IPO is all taken care of. Christopher tells his dad that Nicolas is using Cliff and Elena for his own agenda. He tells his dad to call his guy and find out who he really is and what he’s up to so they can take him down.
