Alfonso Ribeiro Injury Forces DWTS Contestant to Quit In Excruciating Pain?

Everyone loved when Alfonso Ribeiro performed his famous Carlton Dance on Dancing with the Stars season 19, but an injury just might force him to quit the show. Reportedly, the actor, who’s actually become a favorite and competition frontrunner, injured his back during a rehearsal Wednesday night. Now, while the Carlton Dance wasn’t directly responsible for his injury, it did play a factor. Ribeiro suffered a groin injury when he performed the Carlton Dance and, in an effort to compensate for that injury in his most recent practice, suffered another injury.

According to TMZ, the back injury is pretty bad. Alfonso can barely walk without experiencing incredible pain! He canceled his rehearsals on Thursday so he could go get an MRI.

Medical professionals tell him that the next two days are critical. If all doesn’t smooth over, then there’s a real possibility that he’ll have to retire himself from the show.

It’s always a shame to hear of injuries on the DWTS set. We hope Alfonso gets better soon and figures out a way to carry on in the competition safely. Were you looking forward to Alfonso going all the way?
