Chef Ramsey called the remaining chefs the Fab Four but it seems some of them have started to crack from all the pressure. And it’s understandable as to why. It has been several weeks now since they’ve started competition and, like anyone else would have in their case, they really miss their families.

And that’s what has been getting them down!

So Ramsey did something he normally wouldn’t have. He invited the contestants’ families to come visit for a couple of hours and allowed the chefs some honest to goodness quality time with their loved ones. That is what they’ve all been desperately craving after all. However, Ramsey was still hosting a competition. Hence the families were always going to play a part in the next challenge.

Ramsey later told the chefs that if they were able to recreate one of his dishes perfectly, down to every ingredient, they would then be allowed to spend entire day with their family. So of course everyone took the challenge seriously. Jennifer had even joked that was ok about cutting or pushing anyone she had to in order to win. But recreating a dish wasn’t going to be easy.

First the chefs had to figure out which protein Ramsey used and out of the four – two came up with rabbit, one came up with pheasant, and the last thought he tasted turkey.  Then once that was done they then had to figure what ingredients were used in the sauce.

By call time there was rabbit flavored with dried cherry, turkey with dried cherry, pheasant with sundried tomatoes, and rabbit with sundried tomatoes. So it was bit cluster you-know-what. Yet, it wasn’t surprising that Jennifer won with rabbit and sundried tomatoes. She did say from the giddy up that she was going to do anything to win and with seeing her small kids on the line – she wasn’t playing around.

And while Jennifer got to go out in style and spend the day with her family – the rest of them had to dismantle the kitchen and prepare it for tonight.

Tonight is going to be very important. And that goes for everyone. Not only could it very well be the last dinner service for the two of them in this competition but Ramsey has also flooded the restaurant with VIPs. So reputations are riding on the liner here.

For tonight’s dinner service, Ramsey wanted to give each chef the chance at running the kitchen and naturally that put some people on edge. Yet, when it was Sade’s turn, she ran the kitchen with a firm hand and that later resulted in a timely service.

Her hourdeuves came out on time and the food was on par. But after Sade gave up her position of power to La Tasha – that’s when the dinner service began to falter. She had to turn away several plates and correct some of her underlings.

Though nothing compares to what happened after Jennifer took over. At first she tried not to yell at them but her cooks weren’t answering when she was attempting to be polite. So Jennifer eventually got fed up with them and with the way they were sabotaging her kitchen.

And it was only after she started to ride them that their dinner service turned around.

Then Bryan’s turn came up and while his food was coming out in a timely fashion – he had crucial moment where he doubted his chefs and was wrong to do so. And it was all because of halibut. He was handed halibut and thought it wasn’t halibut.

And even after Ramsey told him he was halibut – he still doubted the fish because he thought it was part of Ramsey’s many little tests to trip him up. So yeah he made a big blunder. But will it cost him the competition? That’s the real question.

When the service was over and the chefs all had a chance to think about why they believe they should stay in the competition, Ramsey called the chefs back. And the first person he dismissed was Jennifer. Jennifer was good cook and the one thing Ramsey told her before she left was that she still had some more to learn.

And funnily enough that same piece of advice applied to the second person eliminated.

It was down to three and the person Ramsey chose to eliminate out of Bryant, La Tasha, and Sade was Sade!

She’s a good chef as well but it was neck and neck between her and Bryant. And Bryant ended up winning that round!

In part two and of the finale, it’s now done to La Tasha and Bryant. And on a side note: these two do not like each other yet they hugged and cheered together as if there was a chance they were both going to win. Rather than you know one beating the other.

In fact, prior to her newfound goodwill towards her competitor, La Tasha had told her fellow chefs that she wasn’t going to miss anyone. She said it was competition and that she wanted to win more than she wanted to make friends.

Though, when it did come down to the final two, La Tasha changed her stance. She was a tad nervous upon finding herself so close to winning and so was Bryant. Hence two people that were previously at each other throats now needed someone to share in the excitement and fear of what was to come.

And it turned out to be a good thing they had each other because Ramsey had one more surprise up his sleeve.

La Tasha and Bryant were to be flown out to Palm Springs but they had barely landed when shock of all shocks the airplane hangar they were in turned out to be the kitchen they were going to be using.  It seems Ramsey needed the space to house both a kitchen and a live audience.

So right away La Tasha and Bryant had their final challenge. They had to cook several dishes that were going to be judged by Michelin renowned chefs. Hence the new friendship that was so easily formed was quickly over and the competition just got fiercer than ever.

If it even can be called a competition. Sadly, judging the two chefs came way too easy for some. And La Tasha was soon deemed the winner of the challenge and because of that she was allowed first pick of which of the former contestants she wanted on her final dinner service in Hell’s kitchen.

But in spite of her envious position, La Tasha had made a few mistakes in her picks. Like the fact she went with Fernando when she really shouldn’t have. She put Fernando on fish and he would go on to ruin practically every other dish he made.

Though Bryant was stuck with a dud as well. He got Frank. He did not pick Frank but was left Frank. So he tried to make the best of it. Frank was part of the team and unlike La Tasha – Bryant asked for his team’s opinions.

So, in truth, it could have all gone well. Except Frank was still Frank. He messed on the fish when he was placed there and he placed up on garnish when Bryant tried to see if that at least would work. It didn’t.

And that’s what led to Bryant throwing Frank out of his kitchen. He just couldn’t take any more of the man’s mistakes. So he threw him and in doing that he won Ramsey’s approval. Ramsey actually said that was the wisest thing Bryant could have done.

After he ditched the guy was dragging him down, Bryant had a strong finish. Which was something La Tasha didn’t have the benefit of.

But, luckily, she had a body of history to back her up when it counted. La Tasha has never been put up for elimination and she is a strong leader. So she had that to fall back on when Ramsey decided to review their talents.

And when it came time to declare a winner, it really proved how much Ramsey must have respected La Tasha to choose her as the winner of tonight’s competition even as she kept Fernando on fish.

Congratulations La Tasha!

THE END!
