Tonight on the season 19 premiere episode of Dancing with the Stars American actress and singer-songwriter Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish danced a Jive to “Bang, Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. The competition kicked off tonight with a two-hour premiere and each couple performing a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Jive, vying for America’s vote for the first time. Tonight along with a new cast, a new show format we also have a new judge. Two-time Mirrorball champion and actress Julianne Hough joins Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba at the judges’ desk.
Janel Parrish and professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy: dancing a Jive dance. Janel has been getting ready for her dance tonight. Janel’s sister tweeted her support for Janel, “Tonight, my brave and talented sister, makes her debut on Dancing With the Stars. Watch and vote!”
Judges’ comments: Bruno: “A naughty naughty girl, I thought I was seeing JLo, it was sexy. You still have to polish jive, but I loved it.” Carrie Ann: “You had fearsome courage, Val just needs to control it.” Len: “It was sharp and clean, plenty of snap and a great job overall.” Julianne: “Week one to do jive is cruel, it was raw and sexy.”
