Jeff Gordon Vows Revenge On Brad Keselowki, NASCAR Feud Worsens – Are NASCAR Races Becoming Too Violent?
NASCAR was a sport that virtually involved no physical contact between competitors, until recently. Now, fights seem to break out in the pits at nearly every event and the violence is becoming a concern for organizers. Tongues are still wagging over the brawl that erupted on November 2nd after the race at Texas Motor Speedway. What began as a disagreement between Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski quickly turned in to an out-of-control fight between a slew of drivers and members of their pit crews.

The wild fights and disrespectful behavior among fans and racers is turning what used to be a family-friendly sport into a rendition of Friday Night Raw, only ten times more dangerous because the drivers have high-powered cars they can use as weapons. The November 24th edition of GLOBE Magazine reveals, “Gordon’s vows of revenge [against Keselowski] have NASCAR insiders fearing the worst as feuds escalate between other drivers on the circuit.”

One of GLOBE’s inside sources explain, “There are a lot of drivers out there seeking payback for previous races, that’s how people die. This has been a very dark year for racing, but fans love it and they can get caught up in the personality clashes. But it’s not good for the sport. When bad blood spills in to the actual race, it’s a recipe for disaster.”
