Even Canada is starting to hate Justin Bieber, a product of their land! When Justin won the Fan Choice honor at the Juno Awards 2014, the fans erupted in a wave of boos and ridicule. Good thing Bieber wasn’t actually attending the awards show because, um, how awkward would that have been for him? It’s hard to say whether or not the crowd would’ve booed so ferociously if he was in attendance — but we have to assume they would have.
Honestly, it makes us feel a tiny bit sad for the musician, who does have talent. It’s what he does on his down time that has everyone, including every website on the internet, rolling their eyes. We hope he learns a few things and grows up (sooner rather than later) because he probably is one of those artists who could potentially have a long and fruitful career in the industry — if he gets his act together.
Serena Ryder, a fellow Juno Award winner, defended the young musician when she went up to accept her award. She said that he’s a very talented artist, that he’s worked hard his entire life, and that he deserves everyone’s support. She claimed her little speech wasn’t her trying “to kiss ass” but, um, maybe it was a little bit, right? Not bad to have one of the world’s biggest pop fandoms on your side, amiright?
