Robert Hoffman continues to release dirt on Kate Gosselin via excerpts from his tell-all book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World.
In one particular excerpt, he goes into detail about how Kate had a ‘stress meltdown’ and ended up taking it out on her son, Colin [Gosselin]. Apparently, Colin had a little incident with pouring beans on the floor, and instead of taking his punishment in silence, he knocked down some highchairs. That ‘set Kate off’, with the excerpt (via Radar) explaining, “Kate said that she was instantly so SO angry that she grabbed him and spanked him as hard as she could and thought that she may seriously injure him so she sent him to his crib and whipped him into it very hard!”
And if you thought that was bad parenting, wait until you read other anecdotes from the book. In one such incident, Kate was apparently called from the school about one of her daughters being sick. Instead of dropping everything and rushing to school to pick her up, Kate instead spent time taking a shower and perfecting herself in the mirror before leaving the house.
So let’s recap, shall we? Kate uses her kids to stay famous, she hits her kids on a regular basis, she takes her temper out on them, and she values looking good over taking care of their health. Some of these may be an exaggeration, since we know there’s no love lost between Kate, Robert, and Jon Gosselin. However, I would wager that a large number of these stories have some element of truth to them, which says a lot about Kate as a parent. Surprising? No. Disgusting? Yes.
