We certainly have been getting a lot of news about the Gosselin family lately, what with both Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin seemingly hell-bent on using their children as pawns in their never-ending war of words. However, this latest interview with the Gosselin family shows you just how dysfunctional they really are.
Kate brought her twin daughters, Cara Gosselin and Mady Gosselin, on a live interview with Savannah Guthrie of the Today show. Needless to say, what followed was both extremely awkward and insightful, and left a seething Kate Gosselin simmering with barely controlled anger. To be completely honest, I’m a little scared for Cara and Mady right now.
To recap, Savannah asked the kids how they were ‘really doing‘ after the reality show ended and their father moved out, and they ended up going mute. Basically, they’re done being their mother’s little spokespersons for the perfect family, and they’re finally getting their revenge. Kate can clearly be seen getting frustrated and she tries to prompt the twins to speak up, telling them, “I don’t want to speak for them but, Mady, go ahead. Sort of the things that you said in [People] magazine, that years later they’re good, they’re fine. Go for it, it’s your chance.” And you know what Mady said to that? She replied, “No. You just said it.”
Oh boy, you dun goofed, Mady. If Kate looks that mad on live TV in front of loads of people, I can’t even imagine what was in store for those girls when they got home. I mean, Kate definitely arranged this whole interview to hit back at Jon’s accusations that she’s a bad mother, and here her daughters are, barely denying the rumors. In fact, the casual observer would probably say that they were forced into coming for this interview, just as they were probably forced to do that People magazine interview. Kate’s working overtime to fix her image, but has she gone too far? Has the truth been revealed?
