Kate Middleton Pregnant With Twin Daughters: Naming Baby Girls 'Elizabeth' and 'Margaret' say Princess and Prince William

Kate Middleton is pregnant, and speculation surrounding the gender of the baby [twins] has kicked into overdrive. Will Princess Kate have twins, as has been widely rumored? Or more specifically, twin girls? From what our palace sources are saying, it’s definitely looking like the ultrasound detected more than one heartbeat, which means it’s more than likely twins – and even though we can’t guarantee that it’s girls this early in the stage, that’s what all the rumors are stating.

Meanwhile pregnant Kate Middleton has taken the bull (cow?) by the horns and disowned Camilla Parker-Bowles!  GLOBE reports that Kate can’t deal with her nasty mother-in-law while she is suffering through a difficult pregnancy. Apparently Camilla Parker-Bowles is non too pleased with Kate’s rejection.

Of course, if Kate Middleton and Prince William do have twin daughters, the big story will be their names. After all, these are the names that will stay with these girls for the rest of their life, and come to define them just as much as their royal-ness does. Will they get relatively normal names like George? Or will the twins be named something more regal, along the lines of their grandmother? Of course George is regal too after all!

Even though Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly want to name one of their daughters Diana [in honor of Princess Diana], we’re hearing that Queen Elizabeth has stepped in and requested that the twin girls be named ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Margaret’ – one for her, and the other for her sister, who died more than a decade ago.

It’s a sweet sentiment, to be sure. But Kate and Will already have to make so many sacrifices for the royal family, so shouldn’t they at least be able to name their baby girl daughters whatever they want? Oh, who am I kidding? The Queen and her staff have probably already picked out the middle names as well.

I suppose it could be worse – both Elizabeth and Margaret are classical names, and have been used in royal history many times over. And hey, maybe William will convince Kate to have yet another daughter, and then name her Diana.
