Kate Middleton, Prince William Keeping Impatient Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles From Queen Elizabeth’s Throne?

Kate Middleton, Prince William Keeping Impatient Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles From Queen Elizabeth's Throne?

Prince Charles’ birthday was last week and he turned 66 years old but still isn’t King of England. In other words, he’s getting to that point where he’s growing increasingly more desperate about getting his mom, Queen Elizabeth, off of that throne. In fact, neither Prince Charles nor his opportunistic wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, have hidden their desire to become the reigning monarchs – perhaps Camilla more than Charles, though. Prince Charles might have held back slightly with his desperation out of respect to his mother, but the desire was always apparent.

Kate Middleton and Prince William present yet another stumbling block in the path to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles becoming King and Queen Consort. Queen Elizabeth favors Prince William over her bumbling son to accede the throne and Kate Middleton is far more popular than Camilla. Furthermore, Kate doesn’t carry Camilla’s taint of having been a cheating mistress for decades. Camilla hates and fears both William and Kate and is constantly working with Charles to undermine their growing favor with the Queen and massive popularity with the public.

Do Kate Middleton and Prince William Need to Protect Queen Elizabeth's Throne From Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles?

And now, it looks like Queen Elizabeth – while scaling back slightly on her duties – has absolutely no intention of giving up the throne until she dies. She’s willing to let Prince Charles share the responsibility to minor degree (as she does with Prince William and Kate Middleton), but she’s not willing to abdicate and she’s sure as hell not willing to hand him the throne right now. Unfortunately, that also means that Charles and Camilla will have to resort to more under-handed and devious tactics to steal the throne away, since it’s not going to be handed to them on a silver platter.

Several recent reports suggested that Camilla was pushing Charles to utilize the Regency Act to steal the throne. The Regency Act allows for a regent to take over the throne if the ruling monarch is incapacitated or unable to handle their royal duties. In this case, Charles and Camilla could claim that Queen Elizabeth has gone senile due to her old age. The whispers of Elizabeth’s incompetency have already started to spread, largely based on rumors that she’s getting Alzheimers and other age-related health issues. However, if any of these are proven true, then the royals and parliament will be forced to hand Charles the throne – and by extension, Camilla Parker-Bowles as well. The Regency Act might have been put in place to protect the monarchy against interlopers, but I don’t know if Prince Charles using it to oust his own mother would be considered a positive for the British legacy. Certainly the Birtish Monarchy will thrive more vigorously with Prince William and Kate Middleton at its head than with his father and former mistress on the throne?
