Kate Middleton Remembrance Day and Wales Photos: Pregnant With Baby Girl - Daughter's Name Debate

Kate Middleton made an appearance today, Sunday, November 9 at Britain’s official Remembrance Day celebration and parade standing on a balcony overlooking the Cenotaph in Whitehall (see pics above and below). This follows Kate’s appearance with Prince William Saturday in Wales where her baby bump was also kept well hidden. Now on to our main story about how Kate Middleton and Prince Willam will name their new baby girl!

I feel like naming the royal heir is akin to a boxing match between the royals, where each member competes by playing dirty tricks on their opponents. Of course, the royals are well versed in playing dirty, so this is right up their alley. Prince George has already been done, but the naming possibilities for a baby girl is rife with choices, and every single extended family member is going to want their say. Kate Middleton might be giving birth to her daughter and the next ‘heir’, but her say in the matter will have little consequence unless Queen Elizabeth approves.

So who are all our contestants? Well, we have Kate Middleton and Prince William, obviously. Their word SHOULD carry the most meaning, but honestly, it probably carries the least. Plus, we already know Will and Kate will name their daughter Diana if they have a chance, after Will’s mother. Queen Elizabeth probably gets the most say in the matter, but we already know she wants to name the baby girl Margaret, after her dearly departed sister. Then, there’s Camilla Parker-Bowles, who [unsurprisingly] wants to name the girl Camilla. Of course she does. Plus, there’s all the other family members weighing in as well, not to mention the pressure of history and Kate’s OTHER family, the Middletons.

Now, I think there’s little chance of the baby being named Pippa or Carole, since the royal baby name will have to be something aristocratic. I really wouldn’t be surprised if everyone agreed on Diana, even if it makes Camilla furious. I mean, it’s a nice way of honoring Princess Diana, it’s royal, and Queen Elizabeth would give it her blessing. What more do they need? Besides, there’s no way in hell Prince William is going to name his baby daughter after the woman who homewrecked his parents’ marriage.
