Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Wedding Postponed - France Refuses To Issue Couple a Marriage License

Usually when a couple is planning a destination wedding they make absolutely sure that they know all of the legalities of marrying away from home, right? Well, not if you are Kim Kardashian or Kanye West. While these two clowns have made it public knowledge that they are knee deep in preparing the perfect Parisian wedding they never bothered to check into the French laws until very recently. In doing so they realized that you have to be a permanent resident of France for 40 days before you can legally marry there! That means that Kanye’s apartment in Paris where he spends part of his time doesn’t quite qualify, according to Radar Online.

This may be precisely the reason why Kanye decided to postpone his Australian tour that was set to roll right up until his May wedding. Now it appears that the egotistical rapper will spend the next several weeks living in Paris for real in order to follow French law. Interestingly enough there are two wedding ceremonies in France. The first is a civil ceremony carried out in the town where you reside and once that has taken place only then can a religious ceremony follow. The minister, priest or rabbi requires a civil certificate before officiating over a ceremony.

Are you surprised by the stupidity of Kim and Kanye? While scouting locations months ago don’t you think one of them would have thought to ask some ceremonial questions? Kanye is supposedly playing the role of bridezilla in this engagement so he must feel pretty foolish and just imagine his reaction when he realized he had to follow rules in order to marry Kimmie! Will these two actually marry on May 24th in Paris as planned? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
