2014 is going to be a fantastic year for movies. While the movies themselves will ultimately determine how successful they are in the theaters (and how big of a crowd they rake in), people often forget to appreciate the promotional campaigns leading up to a film’s release — and this includes a movie’s promo poster!
A bad promo poster can turn you off in an instant; heck, it might even make you disregard the movie altogether and totally cross it off your potential “Must See” list. But a good promo poster? A vibrant, edgy, uniquely designed poster can leave a lasting impression, one that sticks with you up until the movie’s release date.
We took the time to wrangle up some movie posters attached to films that’ll be hitting theaters relatively soon. They’re ranked in no particular order of “goodness” or “badness,” so let us know which ones have you intrigued! I personally can’t wait for Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie as, hands down, one of the most evil fairy tale villains. This story will work to explore Maleficent‘s past and, furthermore, how her history turned her into the dark, fallen fairy everyone in the Kingdom has come to despise and fear today.
Another movie to look out for is Divergent, based off Veronica Roth’s bestselling YA novel of the same name. Everyone’s hoping this will become the next big Hunger Games-style franchise. Divergent comes out Friday, March 21st. And check out that hot poster below. It’s visually delicious.
