Chelsea Handler did what Chelsea Handler does best, as she made fun of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon on her show, Chelsea Lately. Nick and Mariah were featured in a photoshoot in Ebony Magazine, and Chelsea decided to comment on it, saying, “No, I don’t know about this kind of black love. He’s acting like a white boy. He talks about how … he knew that Mariah and him were going to be together, when, he said, ‘I found out that she was spiritual..”
She then added, “How do you claim to be a spiritual person if you’ve been photographed on a treadmill in high heels?” Mariah spiritual, please! The only spirits that move Mariah are money and self-love. She also admitted that she and Nick did have another feud last year, but she honestly doesn’t seem to care if she makes him angry again. Of course, Nick can’t stand by and let his wife get insulted, can he? Sorry, I can’t even write that with a straight face.
If it was up to Nick Cannon, he would be cowering in the corner somewhere, refusing to rise to Chelsea’s bait. But you think Mariah Carey would be alright with her husband not defending her? No, she’d want the whole world to know that Nick has her back, and that’s exactly what happened. Nick took to Twitter to fire back at Chelsea, writing, “Sounds like @chelseahandler wants 2 WildOut! It’s easy to throw rocks … from behind a wall. Come out of hiding! I didn’t hear what @chelseahandler said about me because I don’t watch her show. (NO ONE DOES) What channel is it on, public access?”
Oh, damn. Who knew Nick had it in him? He doesn’t just stop there, but also accuses Chelsea of sleeping her way to the top. Even if that’s true, there’s no way this feud is getting resolved with the words and accusations that have been thrown around. And soon enough, don’t be surprised to see Mariah get involved, even if she claims that she’s too ‘spiritual’ to get into feud.
Who do you think is right, if either? I mean, Chelsea is a comedian and it’s pretty much her job to make fun of celebrities. But then again, Nick would have risked the wrath of Mariah if he didn’t stand up for her, and that would probably be infinitely worse for him.
