Mariah Carey Divorce: Nick Cannon Hates Diva Behavior - Allegedly Cheated Aide On Overtime

For anybody still living under a rock, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are getting a divorce. To be honest, I’m not sure how Nick Cannon lasted as long as he did, being in such close company to Mariah’s insane and diva demands. According to a recent report from Page Six, Mariah Carey allegedly acted like a lunatic slave driver to her employees, with one such staffer felt cheated, filing a lawsuit against Mariah for making her work 24/7 while not providing proper pay, meal breaks, and decent working conditions.

This woman, Ylser Oliver (49 years old) is being represented by an entertainment lawyer, who fumed to Page Six on her behalf, saying, “My client put her family’s life on hold while tending to Mariah Carey’s family, and Mariah repaid her by underpaying her. My client is a very hardworking woman who treated Mariah and her family like her own, working all hours of the day and night. Even celebrities are required to abide by the law.”

See, this is what happens in Hollyweird on a regular basis. Celebrities aren’t ever told the world ‘no’, and so they don’t have any comprehension of basic or decent human behavior. Mariah Carey is infamous for being a diva on-set and off-set, and she’s always lived up to that. Of course she’s not going to keep her staffer’s needs in mind, considering that she views everybody not on her level as somehow beneath her. As much as we snark on Nick Cannon for cheating on Mariah Carey and divorcing her, can you blame him? Nick’s had to live with Mariah’s crazy behavior for the past few years, and he should actually be commended for putting up with her as long as he did. I don’t know if anyone else could have been as calm as him, considering the circumstances. In fact, I’m surprised he didn’t file for a divorce sooner, but then again, there’s always the money and the children to consider.
