Aww, it warms my heart to see this story. One Anti-Semitic crazy a**hole trying to woo someone who just escaped a crazy husband that belonged to a cult. Truthfully, poor Katie Holmes [if this report is accurate, which I also highly doubt].
According to a new report from the National Enquirer, Mel Gibsin is hoping that Katie Holmes will bid adieu to Jamie Foxx because he’s ‘drooling’ over her. The Enquirer’s source claims, “Mel drools over Katie! She’s everything he wants in a woman — sexy, intelligent, independent — real wife material. Mel’s trying to arrange a date with Katie through mutual acquaintances. He’s convinced she’ll fall for his charms if she’ll sit down for dinner with him.”
Ugh, the misogyny in this article is unbelievable, as is the source’s insistence that Katie Holmes is ‘wife’ material. I don’t think Katie Holmes is going to jump into another marriage so quickly, especially with someone like Mel Gibson. She’s worked hard to rehabilitate her image from robo bride to hard-working single mother over the last three years, and she’s not going throw it all away by getting sucked into another twisted marriage.
Honestly, I don’t even see Katie Holmes agreeing to a date with Mel Gibson. In Hollywood, it’s all about reputation, and while there have been major celebrities that have stuck up for Mel Gibson [why, I will never understand], Katie’s reputation is still too fragile to risk association with Mel. Plus, he’s a douche, and does Katie need any more douches in her life? Nope.
