Meryl Davis Dancing With the Stars Samba Video 4/14/14 #DWTS

Olympic ice skating gold medallist Meryl Davis danced a Samba, on tonight’s season 18 episode 5 of Dancing with the Stars with Maks Chmerkovskiy for the Disney themed evening.  We posted a nifty bio of Meryl Davis so you can get more familiar with her.  Season 9 Champion Donny Osmond guest judged alongside Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.  If you missed tonight’s show you can read a full and detailed recap, right here.

The show began with a spectacular opening number featuring the entire cast followed by each couple performing to songs from Disney films including “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Frozen.” The evening also showcase fun elements of Disney animation.

On last episode Meryl performed an Argentine Tango and Julianne loved it saying, “You are one of the most stunning dancers I have ever seen. I wish I danced just like you.  Perfection!”   They scored Meryl 39/40.

Meryl Davis and professional dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy: dancing a Samba.  Meryl has been getting ready for her dance tonight.  She tweeted, “Long Island tonight! Catching a late flight to LA post show just in time for @DancingABC tomorrow!”

Judges comment: Carrie Ann: “I am a little puzzled you are like you dance as part of one body.  I have never seen Maks dance so intune with someone.  There is something very special here.”  Len: “A wamba of a samba.  It was great and terrific.  Well done.”  Donny: “You guys have set the bar so high.  That was thoroughly entertaining.” Bruno: “I thought about jungle fever.  It was really was a wonderful, wonderful dance.  Thank you Maks for the eyeful.”
