I guess Michael Strahan learned the hard way that he can’t get away with cheating even if he is 3,000 miles away from his fiance. He and Nicole Murphy had been together for five years and were doing the bi coastal thing recently because work kept them separated. Michael is based in NYC, juggling a gig on Live as well as popping up regularly on Good Morning America. Nicole lives in LA with her 5 kids and she has appeared on VH1’s Hollywood Exes for the past few seasons.
According to TMZ some sources claim that the couple has been on and off for the last few years but if they were off then Nicole was the last one to hear about it. Her most recent season of Hollywood Exes focused on her wedding planning. Supposedly Nicole caught wind of Michael seeing another woman in early July and she was all over that situation until she finally confirmed that he was cheating. Nicole’s timing for making a public announcement couldn’t have been any worse for Michael who was being inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.
Sources close to Nicole say the timing, while ironic, wasn’t to get revenge. She simply announced the split when she knew for a fact that Michael was cheating. Apparently Michael claims they were on a break and from the sounds of it, they likely were- because she suspected he was creeping with someone else! My guess is that she must have been pretty pissed off to be trying on wedding gowns in LA while he was banging a random chick on the sly back in NYC.
