However, let’s just take Nikki Reed’s side in all of this, and imagine how she feels watching her boyfriend interacting with his ex-girlfriend? She has to stand there and watch Ian Somerhalder pretend-love Nina Dobrev, knowing full well that they actually did love each other a few years ago. Knowing Nikki’s dating history, I don’t blame her for being cautious. Even though it’s not highly publicized, Nikki Reed and Robert Pattinson used to hook up before Rob dumped her the minute Kristen Stewart showed any interest in him. And then, she and hubby Paul McDonald got divorced over alleged cheating rumors. So now here she is, dating one of the hottest actors around, who is still working with his gorgeous ex-girlfriend and pretending to be in love with her.
Like I said, I don’t blame Nikki Reed for any insecurity. Even if she’s worried that Ian still has feelings for Nina, what can she do? It’s a lose-lose situation, unless Ian decides to keep his work life and private life separate – and as we’ve already seen, he’s not very good at that.
