Tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars begins where we left off last week. Cyrus Petrillo is sitting in the interrogation room at the police station. Det. Tanner fills Alison’s dad in on Cyrus’s confession and says that Cyrus’s confession matches Alison’s story.

Meanwhile the liars are bickering with Alison, and remind her that an innocent man is about to go to jail for kidnapping her, and she was never actually kidnapped. Alison doesn’t want to hear it though, she has a plan. “A” is obviously behind Cyrus, and she thinks that Cyrus will lead them to “A.” Hanna, Spencer, and Aria leave and tell Emily she has to stay with Alison and make sure she doesn’t tell the police that Cyrus is definitely her kidnapper. Spencer says she is going to her house to hide their insurance policy that she stole from Noel Kahn.

Ella is at home on the phone cancelling all of her wedding plans and arguing with the banquet hall. Aria tries to get her to eat, but Ella says she “isn’t up to eating.” She cries to Aria that she should have seen this coming because she was so much older than Zack. Aria reassures her that it wasn’t her fault and volunteers to make the rest of her mom’s phone calls for her.

Hanna heads to Caleb’s house and fills him in on Cyrus’s confession. Caleb tries to make sense of it while Hanna rushes around the apartment cleaning out his refrigerator and ranting about how horrible his diet is. She announces that she is done living a life for Alison DiLaurentis, and she is going to her chorus audition.

At home Spencer is on the phone with Emily, she begins panicking when she realizes that the recording that Alison gave her of the story she is supposed to memorize about her kidnapping is gone and stolen out of her hiding spot. Her phone rings and someone is playing the recording over the line. She hangs up and receives a text, “Check Mate –A.”

Hanna convinces Caleb to go for a run with her, and Spencer tracks them down. Spencer tries to tell Hanna that she has been watching the camera footage from her backyard. Hanna doesn’t want to hear it and runs off. Spencer shows Aria the footage, and it shows a guy in a baseball cap in her backyard, and her sister Melissa gives him something and tells him to “just do it.” Spencer is convinced the guy in the baseball hat is Cyrus. She tells Aria that she thinks they should come clean and tell Tanner everything, even what happened to Shanna in New York, and explain it was self-defense.

Aria pays Ezra a visit and fills him in on Cyrus’s confession and the footage from Aria’s backyard. Ezra grabs his coat and says that he is going to talk to Alison before she does something stupid like send Cyrus to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Aria won’t let him leave and makes him promise he won’t get involved in all of this again.

At Ali’s house Emily is lecturing her, and reminds her that “A” is behind Cyrus’s confession and if she ID’s him she will fall in to “A”’s trap. Alison reveals that Cyrus isn’t a stranger. Emily is shocked. Alison pulls up her dress and shows Emily a scar on her thigh and says “he gave me this. He’s not a stranger. But, I don’t know how “A” found him.” Alison says that she was living with Cyrus in an abandoned basement, Alison thought that he liked her, but it turns out he just wanted her stuff and her money. She cries that Cyrus looked at her like she was “worse than nothing.” Emily apologizes to her for what happened, but tells her that “A” wants her to identify him, and she needs to let him go.

It’s time for Hanna’s choir solo, and to her dismay Mona will be auditioning with her. The teacher calls their name but when Mona stands to walk in to the audition, she passes out and falls to the ground. Hanna rushes to her side. Mona wakes up, and is confused and doesn’t know where she is. She cries to Hanna to get her purse, Hanna looks through Mona’s purse before she hands it over and finds a picture of Cyrus’s mug-shot.

Ezra heads to The Brew and runs in to Alison, he sits down and tells her she is not in this alone and a lot of people have gone along with her story. Before he can say anything else Alison’s Dad arrives and tells Ezra that he doesn’t need to speak to his daughter. He tells Alison they have to leave and go to the police station so that she can ID Cyrus, because 48 hours is almost up and if she doesn’t ID him the police will set him free.

[9:02:28 PM] Amanda Austin: Hanna follows Mona and hops in to her car with her in front of the police station. She accuses Mona of setting up Cyrus’s confession, but Mona insists she had nothing to do with it and she is trying to figure out who did set it up. While they are sitting in the car together Alison and her Dad get in a cop car with Tanner, Mona hacks in to Tanner’s phone and they overhear her saying they are headed to the jail so Alison can ID Cyrus. Hanna freaks out and tells Mona to follow them, but Mona says they aren’t there to follow Alison, they are there to follow Cyrus back to “A.”

Aria seen Ezra talking to Alison at the Brew and she is furious, she specifically told him not to talk to her. Aria points out that once Tanner finds out that Ezra and Alison know each other, it is game over. Ezra asks her why she is so upset, but Aria climbs in her car and drives off without answering.

Spencer sneaks back in to her house, and Melissa is waiting for her. She knows Spencer was searching her room in the barn. Melissa insists that she only was helping Mona because she wanted Spencer to see that Alison was still up to no good. Melissa says that they both know that Alison is lying and wasn’t kidnapped, and she doesn’t want Spencer to get hurt when the truth comes out. Melissa says it is not safe for either of them to stay in Rosewood, and asks Spencer to leave with her.

Tanner takes Ali and her Dad to the basement when Cyrus says he held her after he kidnapped her. Tanner reminds Alison that if she doesn’t ID him or the basement, they will have to set Cyrus free. Alison has a flashback of Cyrus stealing all of her stuff, when she tried to stop him he slashed her leg with a pocket knife. Alison ID’s the basement and tell Tanner she could “never forget this place.”

Hanna and Mona are sitting in the car waiting for Cyrus to be released from jail. Mona confesses that she passed out at choir because she started having panic attacks when Alison came back to school. A call comes in on Tanner’s phone and they learn that Alison ID’d the basement, and Cyrus can’t be released. They are going to the courthouse to officially charge him. Hanna is shocked that Alison did exactly what they told her not to do.

Aria is talking to her Mom about her relationship with Ezra when she receives a text message from Hanna. It says “SOS – Ali ID’d Cyrus, need to meet.” Meanwhile Alison arrives home from the police station and Emily is waiting on her porch, she confronts Alison about what she did. She reminds her that ID’ing Cyrus will get them all in trouble because they helped her cover her story. Alison argues that she has a plan, but Emily refuses to hear it. As Emily storms off, Ali promises she will make it right, Emily sneers back “I am so done with you.”

Hanna fills Caleb in on what happened with Cyrus, she says that the police released Cyrus but he must have went out the back and they missed him. She assures him that Spencer has a plan though. She kisses Caleb goodbye and heads back in to the kitchen with Aria and Spencer. Emily finally arrives, and she has their insurance policy proving that Alison lied about the kidnapping, she agrees with Spencer and thinks they should go to the police and cut ties with Alison.

Meanwhile Alison is meeting Cyrus in the woods with a black wig on dressed as Vivian Darkbloom. She gives him an envelope and he argues that getting a warrant for his arrest wasn’t part of the plan. He reminds her that he could go back to the police and tell them how they really met and all of the fun they had together. Alison tells him that he needs to take the envelope and this is his shot at a fresh start.

The episode ends with an “A” scene, someone in black gloves and a black hoodie is doing their laundry and folds a candy-striper outfit and places it on the table.

THE END!
