On the last episode, Ana hosted a housewarming party, but things got out of hand when Jhemini brought along an uninvited guest. Meanwhile, Jhemini kick-started her modeling career; and Kate worried for Carlo’s safety when his prison went on lockdown.. Did you watch the last episode? Kate and the hairstylist friend go to the gym and discuss Ana’s housewarming party. Kate say she thinks Jhemini tries to show a perfect facade that isn’t real, and that it’s frustrating to be friends with someone who never shares how she is feeling.
Jhemini talks about how she feels uncomfortable at the housewarming party and that people judge her because they see a pretty girl who thinks she’s better than everyone. She talks to her husband about it on the phone, and tells him to care more about how she feels and to ask questions. ‘I wish Michael was here to be able to protect me, and I wish that he could hold me when things got really hard, and I know how much he supports me but not physically having him here makes it harder, and I need him around,’ she says of her husband.
Ana discusses how she feels uncomfortable when anyone questions her relationship with Michael because no one has ever loved her before him. She says of course there is a risk he will come out and hurt her or is using her, but that a voice within her tells her this is what she should be doing. As Michael may be coming home soon due to a new law, she goes dress shopping with her friend, Lucias.
Laquisha and Kate meet up to talk about the prison wives club. They talk about outreach, and the stigma against them for being married to incarcerated men. Laquisha wants to do an event at a strip club to see some men because she’s sexually frustrated.
Jhemini wants to focus on something positive to get her mind off the drama with Kate, so she goes to check out the results of her photo shoot. She meets up with the photographer, who she thinks is cute and thus probably shouldn’t be meeting up with. He is being attentive toward her, which makes her think of Michael, and she says although she gets to visit her husband weekly, it’s not the same.
Ana finds the perfect princess dress, but the price is nearly $1,000. She says the dress made her think of having a real wedding, and it is breaking her heart to walk away from it. She video chats with Michael and brings up the dress, asking if he would be mad if she went and got it, and he says yes because their financial situation is too bad.
Kate goes to her friends house to see if she has any baby clothes she can take to give to Carlo’s friend, who needs them. She is emotional holding her friend’s baby because she and Carlo can’t have that yet. She wishes she could have a baby now because it’s that time in her life and all her friends are having kids.
Laquisha and Ana call Jhemini about the strip club event, and Jhemini cuts her off to say strip clubs aren’t her thing and she wants to respect her relationship with her husband as she wouldn’t want him going to a strip club.
Jhemini suggests that they go to a spot beforehand so she can drink and loosen up before possibly going to the strip club. Ana isn’t a fan of the strip club idea either. “I belong to Michael,” she says.
Jhemini is on a Jpay visit with Michael after deciding that she is going to go to the strip club. He says her going to the strip club isn’t the issue, but rather the unexpected events that will occur when she drinks. She tells him she needs him to trust her and that he’s pissing her off. Michael storms off after saying he doesn’t want to talk about it.
Kate is hesitant walking into the prison wives club meeting because she’s unsure if Jhemini is going to be in one of her moods or even show up. She asks Ana what is going on, telling her that after the party she and Jhemini haven’t spoken. Ana says it’s best she talk to Jhemini first as she has been friends with her the longest out of everyone in the group.
Kate offers to take a new member of the club to visit her incarcerated brother for the first time. Jhemini is shocked that Kate is inviting this woman she doesn’t know into her car. “Until I know you, I consider you guilty by association,” she says, knowing she is a perfect angel who doesn’t know anyone in prison.
At the strip club, Ana sits on her phone ignoring the action. Jhemini is acting similarly, which annoys Kate. Kate receives a dance from a woman, and Jhemini judges Kate for “cheating,” despite Kate and her husband agreeing that she can hook up with other women. Kate pulls Jhemini outside to talk, and asks her if she’s mad at her.
Jhemini doesn’t want to work on her friendship with Kate right now because she doesn’t care about Kate, her feelings or opinions. She tells Kate that she has not always been as respectful as she could be. They make up by deciding to complement one another.
