Rob Kardashian has finally come to terms with his drug addiction, and he’s reportedly agreed to go to rehab. It’s been months since he’s been dealing with depression, weight gain issues, and substance abuse, but he’d been avoiding anything and anyone who told him that he needed help. But it seems that he’s finally come around to his family’s pleading, since In Touch reports that he’s agreed to attend rehab.
He’s reportedly looking at a Beverly Hills residential treatment center called Bridges To Recovery, which would be an in-patient program. It looks like all those interventions and phone calls from his family finally paid off. Although he’d reportedly avoided listening to his sisters or his mother for the past year, something must have triggered his desire to get help. After all, it was only a few weeks ago that we saw him photographed with Sizzurp in those pictures acquired by TMZ, so he must have had a big change of heart since then.
A source tells In Touch, “Rob says he’s ready to take the first step and he really wants to go. He’s never said that before, so everyone thinks it’s a good sign.”
Of course it’s a good sign. The first step to recovery is always acceptance, and Rob’s finally accepted that he has a problem. Hopefully, he’ll stay in rehab until he recovers completely, although I’m guessing that he’ll probably pull out prematurely.
What do you guys think? Is this the beginning of Rob’s journey to sobriety, or is it just a ploy to get his family and the media off his back? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
