Sarah Ferguson Drops 30 lbs in an Effort to Reclaim a Healthier Self and Help Fight Obesity in America!

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has declared that she wants to help fight obesity! She’s gotten her mission to shed pounds off to a good start, losing nearly 30 pounds in as little as 12 weeks. Her drive comes from the desire to be healthier and happier in the new year. She’s gotten help from personal trainer Josh Salzmann and her journey, filmed in the Swiss Alps, will appear in an American TV show sometime during the year 2014.

Sarah tells the Daily Mirror UK that she’s followed a ”strict diet of blended foods and intensive workouts, including daily running and mountain hikes.” She continues, “I went up to the mountains, and I ran every day. That’s how I got fit. I may have lost 30lbs, but I want to help combat global obesity. I want to really get into America and support young children who need to be educated about the future.”

But if you think Sarah’s little fitness journey was all pain and no play, well, then you clearly don’t know the true ways of a royal. According the British news source, “she stayed in a luxury seven-bedroom £17,000-a-week chalet in the exclusive ski resort of Verbier with Salzmann, her trainer for over 20 years.” Not too shabby, huh?
