Just last month we watched Bachelor alums Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici tie the knot on ABC during their highly publicized and live wedding. Catherine and Sean appeared to be madly in love during the wedding special, and dramatic ceremony, but a recent interview could send their happily ever after into a tail-spin.
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici appeared to be the perfect couple on The Bachelor. A lot of fans tend to forget that Catherine wasn’t always the apple of Sean’s eye, before his role on The Bachelor, Sean appeared on The Bachelorette. When America first met Sean Lowe he was trying to win over Bachelorette Emily Maynard. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Emily’s season of The Bachelorette, Sean made it to the top three bachelors, and then Emily sent him packing. In the video Sean discussed his relationship with Emily Maynard, “After about four or five weeks of getting to spend time with the Bachelorette, I thought I liked being around her. I can see myself being her husband, and she had a young daughter (Ricki) and I thought, wow, God has used this reality TV show to introduce me to my wife and to my future daughter. After about six weeks of being on the show, I knew I loved her.”
Wow! Who says that about one of their exes literally a month after they marry someone else? It looks like Catherine Giudici was more like a rebound on Sean’s season of The Bachelor. If he loved Emily Maynard as much as he says he did, then there is no way he got over her that fast! Catherine must be less than thrilled to hear her hubby proclaim his love for Emily Maynard just days after they said “I Do” live on national television.
