Gloria tells the students that there is a new phase of integration starting the next day. The Atrians will be allowed to explore the town of Edendale for the first time. Emery is concerned about their safety and Gloria tells them if they are all on their best behavior, it could secure greater freedoms for all Atrians.

Emery congratulates Roman on the new freedoms and wishes him luck. He wishes her luck too and walks away as Grayson walks up to him. He comes up with tickets to a movie for he and Emery and she smiles at him.

Roman asks Lukas about the phone and he tells him that the person must have turned it off. Roman asks him to let him know if the phone is turned back on.

Vega, the Trag leader hands Drake the cube with the black Cyper and tells her to deliver it to their agent on the outside – an Atrian who has had her marks removed. He asks what happens next and she says the operative will take it from there. That doesn’t bode well for the humans.

Gloria watches as some taggers attack the outside of their home while they hide in the safe room. Her mother tells her they were lucky they had time to hide from the Red Hawks that have invaded their home and are wrecking it. Her mother tells her there is no telling what they would do to their son. Gloria says she needs to take her son to Eljita where her son will be safe. She said Nox promised to take him there but only an Atrian can find it.

Emery tells Grayson that it’s incredible where they’re standing on the streets will be open to Atrians tomorrow. She worries his parents and the Red Hawks will attack them and he tells her that would never happen. His phone rings and he steps away to take the call. It’s his buddy Eric and he tells her that he needs a ride and it’s an emergency. She offers to go with him but he tells her to stay and save him a seat. She agrees and he leaves.

Grayson stops to pick up his buddies and they tell him to take off. Eric was a lookout at a meeting and then says some things got out of hand. Sirens wail and they are being chased by a cop car. Grayson pulls over and his hoodlum friends bail before the cop gets there. The problem is, they left the spray paint cans in his Jeep.

Emery chases down Eric and asks him where Grayson is. He tells her he got arrested and he tells her he can’t tell her anymore. He walks away.

Lukas finds Roman and tells him the phone is on and is in the school on the 3rd floor. They find the phone in a bag in an upstairs room. There is handwriting on the sheet that Lukas can’t see – it’s something about their visual spectrum. The note says escape is possible, leave by the dream gate, etc. It’s directions to get to Eljita. The clues spell out the word Eljita. Roman stows all of the stuff back in the bag and tells Lukas that it’s a community of Atrians living deep in the bayou free of human interference. He says he thought it was a fairy tale but if his father left directions, it may be real.

In town, the Atrians pour off the bus as the citizens and media keep a watchful eye. Teri tells Drake to give her the cube to smuggle off the bus because the guard that frisks them never checks her bag. He does and she’s able to get it off the bus. She refuses to give it back until he signals the operative and he says that wasn’t the plan but she tells him her mother Vega gave her new directions after he left to help.

Taylor checks out Drake and Zoe tells her it’s gross. She tells her that high school boys are lame and she likes the Atrian. She enlists Sophie to come shopping with them so she can ask her about Drake.

Roman and Lukas take a stroll and he asks him about nearby bayous. Lukas says he has no time to search them all before curfew. Lukas tells him to give him the clues again and he recognizes a road name and Roman takes off to check there.

Taylor shows Sophie a virtual clothing try on interface and the asks her about Drake. She tells her that Drake keep to himself and Taylor is further intrigued.

Drake sits on a park bench leaving a signal when Roman joins him and asks about Eljita. He tells Roman the only way to get there is by Jessitor the gate keeper. He says you have to signal him by lighting three fires because he’s the boat man. It’s too deep in for even an Atrian to swim there. Roman asks Drake to try and find it with him but Drake says he can’t afford to get into any more trouble.

Grayson’s parents grill him on the arrest the night before and his mother says he can be charged with a hate crime. His Dad leaned on Eric and he’s going to confess. They’re going to take care of his family and get him a job when he’s out of jail. Emery shows up and he tells her that Eric is a Red Hawk but isn’t violent. He says he’s sure he didn’t do what they’re accusing him of. Emery offers to help try and exonerate them and she says she trusts him.

Roman heads downt he swamp toad and then recalls the clue that says you’ll see something only an Atrian can. He see a blue path that humans couldn’t see and follows it into the bayou. Someone watches him from the tree cover.

In a dance club, Drake and Teri come in to meet the operative. He heads to the back table to meet them. Taylor and Sophie come in too and Taylor gives Sophie a dress she bought her a a welcome to the world gift. She’s thrilled. Lukas come to ask Sophie to hang and Taylor sends her off with him. Taylor comes to sit with Drake and he tells her to go. She comes onto him really hard and he thinks she must be the operative he’s to meet. She tells him to follow her and he does. He tells her he has what she wants but not on him but then she strips off and he realizes there’s been a misunderstanding. He asks why she’s undressing and says he thought she wanted to talk. She yank his shirts off and he gives in and starts making out with her. He throws her up against the wall and they’re both really into it…

Eric tells Grayson that his parents got him a lawyer and he’ll only spend a couple of months in juvie. Emery asks questions and tells them to turn in the Red Hawks to clear themselves. Eric describes a motorcycle with specific art on it.

Teri meet with a woman and tells her that she knows she’s the contact. Drake is dressing in the bathroom and is still dumb enough to think she’s his contact. He tells her they need to get to their mission and she tells him she has no clue what he’s talking about. He freaks out on her and he’s furious when he realizes she’s just human. She tells him he didn’t seem to mind when they were getting it on…

The contact demands that Teri produce Drake and he finally comes out of the bathroom. He comes over and finds that Zoe is the contact! OMG! Totally didn’t see that coming. She tells Drake that she’s been watching he and Taylor moon for weeks but didn’t think he would go through with it. She tells him when the Trags find out they’re going to go nuts on him. He says he was confused and she tells him they need to get to work. She demands the cube and Teri hands it over. Zoe and Drake leave together.

Roman continues through the bayou until he finds a shack with neon letters, some of them out. It’s Jessy’s Tours, but with lights out it becomes Jessytour – The mythical person that takes people to the Atrian stronghold. He sees evidence of past fires and lights three of his own to signal them.

Sophie comes out of the bathroom in her new dress and Lukas compliments her but she blows him off and goes to find Taylor who’s playing a video game. Taylor tells her she looks sweet and adorable and she’s not in the mood for that now. She’s chugging from a flask and playing digital darts. Teri approaches her and Taylor offers her some. Teri says she doesn’t share with humans but then takes a swig anyway.

Drake tries to say he made a mistake and Zoe asks if Vega will slit his throat first. He tells her she doesn’t have to tell and she tells him she’s a Trag and doesn’t look kindly on traitors. She says she can’t wait until the human scum are dead.

Emery and Grayson find the bike and ask who the owner is – they tell the bikers they want some art done. They tell the kids it belong to KP and that he’s in the back room. Grayson tells Emery he needs to go in alone to keep her safe but she says that’s not a good idea. She says she believes in the buddy system and insists.

Teri and Taylor bitch drunkenly about guys being losers and they agree they don’t need men for validation.

Drake asks Zoe if getting her marks removed hurt and she tells him nothing has ever hurt worse but a Trag does what needs done. He digs down as instructed and she tells him Beaumont was a traitor and much worse will be done to those that defy the Trags.

Emery and Grayson wind through the biker bar to the back room. KP and another guy grab them and hold weapons on them and demand to know why he was asking about him.

Grayson stares down the gun in his face and he tells them his parents are Red Hawks and that they’re in trouble for not asking permission. He tells him they don’t like insubordination. KP slams him down and Emery tells him she’s already texted their name and pic to their friend who will turn them over to leadership.

They’ve dug down deep and Beaumont’s body is in the hole. Zoe explains to him that the black cyper will take root in his body and then grow. Zoe explains the humans took her Dad away and she had no one. She says that’s what made her turn Trag. They talk about the wall of the lost and how they visit it to remember their loved ones. His mom was taken eight years ago. She asks if he’s willing to pay the price along with the rest of the Trags. He embeds the cube in Beaumont’s body and take the shovel to rebury it.

Roman sees someone come out and is surprised at who it is. He asks if she was the one talking on the phone and left the map to Eljita. Gloria says she doesn’t have to explain herself and he says she does is she wants his help. She tells him Nox wanted to keep his family safe and find the way to Eljita. He tells her he would have known if that was the plan. He threatens to expose her if she doesn’t tell him the truth and she finally admits she and his Dad were in love. He tells her she’s lying and she tells him she had to know if Eljita was real and safe. He starts to walk away and she demands that he take her. She tells him he’s been waiting there for hours, lit the three fires but no one came. He tells her it’s a myth – just like his father.

Lukas tells Sophie she looks beautiful and she tells him she likes him but has a thing for someone else. He looks behind him and sees she’s staring at Taylor. Wow – an Atrian lesbian.

Emery walks up and sees Emery. He tells her he went off exploring but didn’t find what he was looking for. He says freedom isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. She invites him into the party but he tells her he has curfew. He tells her it’s nice to see her outside of school in her town and she tells him it’s her town too. Roman catches Teri staggering out of the party. She flirts with him and then when he asks where Drake is she says she doesn’t know because her parents only trusted him with the mission. She staggers onto the bus.

Grayson tells her that KP confessed so he and Eric are off the hook. He tells her he’s impressed she took on a 300 pound biker. She tells him it must be hard living among the Red Hawks and he says it’s been easier since he met her. He says her still being there when she knows the truth makes all the difference. He kisses her and she kisses back.

Deep in the bayou, the three fires still burn. Gloria finally walks away but then hears a boat puttering to the dock and turn back around. She calls for her mother to bring out her son. The boatman tells her he doesn’t come to the call of humans and she tells him she had an Atrian lead her there. She tells her her son is also Nox’s and that he said he would be safe in Eljita. He promises to take care of her son. She kisses him good-bye and tells him she’ll always think of him. She cries but then hands him over to the boatman. She tells her son that she’ll always love him. The boatman makes her swear to keep Eljita secret because her son’s life depends on it. She promises and they head off with her son crying. She and her mother embrace and cry.

Drake looks at the wall of those that have been lost. Roman comes in and tells him he thinks he’ll see her again. Roman tells him that joining the Trags isn’t the answer. Drake tells him his father’s plan isn’t working and Roman agrees. He says maybe they can find a way together to find freedom. Drake tells him to try and make integration work because if it doesn’t, he tells him not only will he join the war, but he’ll lead it.
