You gotta feel sorry for Taylor Swift. How many ‘serious’ relationships has she been in now? And how many of them have gone sour? We can debate endlessly on the cause of her breakups, but the truth of the matter is that she’s never able to stay in a steady relationship for more than a few months.
Perhaps the most volatile relationship she was in was with the one with Jake Gyllenhaal, where they seemingly went from courting each other to full-blown relationship in about a month. It’s still not clear who was using whom in that scenario, but according to a report from Radar Online, Jakey dumped Taylor after she lost her virginity to him. Harsh.
Apparently, Taylor was initially planning on ‘saving herself for marriage‘ [yeah right], but changed her mind after meeting Jake. But after they consummated their relationship, Jake apparently never turned up at her 21st birthday party, preferring to let his silence do the breaking up for him.
A source explains, “The day before — all was set — he was coming, no issues. But the day of, she doesn’t hear from him at all. No texts, no calls. Taylor thought maybe he was planning some sort of surprise. Nope. He didn’t show up and she locked herself in the bathroom and cried the entire night.”
This breakup is reportedly what inspired her album ‘RED’, and if this report is true, can you blame her? Taylor may be clingy when it comes to her relationships, but she doesn’t deserve to be dumped on her birthday, especially not right after she lost her virginity – IF this is true. I have a hard time believing Jake could be such a douche, but Hollywood does weird things to people. Plus, he might have been too scared to deal with the public backlash, which still doesn’t excuse his behavior.
