Federal agents raided Teresa Giudice’s home this week to seize cash, jewelry and Christmas gifts after Teresa and Joe Giudice failed to set up a payment plan for their court-ordered restitution. Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice have to be some of the stupidest criminals to ever grace our criminal justice system. Seriously. After being convicted for fraud AND sentenced to prison [publicly], Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice should know better than to flaunt their remaining wealth. They should have humbly accepted the punishment, perhaps appealed, and then used their free time to volunteer at a charity or seek remorse or something. No, instead they attend parties, film reunions for The Real Housewives, continue acting like a pair of married douchebags, and generally flaunt their wealth. In essence, they totally had this coming.
According to Radar Online, Teresa Guidice and Joe Giudice had their home in New Jersey raided by federal agents this week, with cash and Christmas gifts being seized. Apparently, Joe and Teresa, like the brilliant criminals they are, couldn’t even remember [or conveniently forgot] to pay the remaining restitution or go to the pains of setting up a payment plan. When you take the time to SET UP a payment plan, then the FEDs don’t raid your home and take your kids’ Christmas gifts. Especially when you’re already going to jail for financial fraud, you don’t ignore your legally adjudicated debts – these details still seem to fly over Teresa’s head.
Radar Online’s sources add, “Plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids’ Christmas presents were taken. Teresa was home and was absolutely stunned by the raid. She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical, and begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents.”
Apparently, Teresa and Joe still owe $214,000 in outstanding restitution fees, and so their property will be auctioned off to pay for it. Unfortunately, this is what happens when Teresa and Joe are so blatantly continuing to flout the law, even after breaking it and getting caught. And in addition to that, they’re now making their children suffer as well.
Update: looks like someone dropped the ball on this one – Teresa and Joe apparently were NOT raided after all!
