The Biggest Loser Recap – Blake Goes Home: Season 16 Episode 8 “Penalty Box”

The Biggest Loser Recap - Blake Goes Home: Season 16 Episode 8 “Penalty Box”

Tonight on NBC The Biggest Loser returns with an all new Thursday October 30, season 16 episode 8 called “Penalty Box.” On tonight’s episode the players compete in a challenge involving water and giant treadmills, and the winning team gets a chance to penalize the two losing teams. Elsewhere, Bob Harper advises two Comeback Canyon contestants about setting priorities.

On the last episode a challenge at the beginning of the week caused quite a splash as the red, white and blue teams had to hold a certain percentage of their body weight to keep their trainers from falling into a pool. The team that dropped their trainer first lost them for the week, while the team that dropped their trainer second only had their trainer at the last chance workout. While the two teams without their trainers try to rise to the challenge at the ranch, Bob Harper tried to get his two eliminated contestants to work together as a team at Comeback Canyon. And one contestant took a trip away from the ranch and gave her trainer a glimpse of her “glory days.” Then a weigh-in full of surprises – including one player reaching “One-derland” – ended with one contestant falling below the dreaded red line, but thrilled to get a second chance at Comeback Canyon. Did you watch the last episode? If you missed it, we have a full and detailed recap right here for you.

On tonight’s episode it’s eight weeks in to the competition, and the remaining contestants have already lost almost 700 lbs. But this week it might prove harder to stay on course when a challenge involving giant treadmills over water gives the winning team the opportunity to assign penalties to the two losing teams. One team is tasked with cleaning duties that must be finished before they can access their trainer and the gym, while the other team is sent without their trainer to a city full of temptations – Las Vegas. Meanwhile, at Comeback Canyon, trainer Bob Harper tries to convince his two contestants to make their health a priority rather than always taking care of others first. Then the player who falls below the red line at the ranch weigh-in and feels unprepared to return home is thrilled to get a second chance at Comeback Canyon, while the weigh-in there sends another contestant home for good.

The first challenge of today has a reward where you decide what penalty the teams will be receiving, the teams will have to run on treadmills and the last one standing is going to be the winner; the losers fall in the water. Damien is running for blue, Rondalee for white and Scott for red; they are going to fall in the water. 5 minutes in and the speed is increased, the three are still keeping up well.

Rondalee sadly falls off and the white team are out of it, Damien and Scott are going head to head; they are both pushing themselves to 10 minutes and the time has been increased. Scott wins the challenge, making it the red teams very first victory. The penalties are cleaning the house but can only work out when they are done, the other team will be leaving the ranch and won’t have their trainers or the biggest loser gym. They are going to a polar opposite place,  Las Vegas is the destination and it is land of temptation; the white team is given the penalty. The blue team will be cleaning up the house.

Jen is very scary that her team is going to Vegas, but mostly she’s worried about Woody; his wife was his best friend and the love of his life. He lost her 9 months ago from cancer, she was everything to him and it hurts him so much; he’d love to have time to see her again. He regrets not being able to do more for her, Jen tells him that she wants him to take this love for his wife and use it to go forward; he knows that he’s going to be able to succeed.

The white team is now in Las Vegas, Toma says it’s hard because there is so many temptations; they find their room and it’s insanely amazing and big. They see an ornament of strawberries and chocolate; they pour some champagne and then dump it. Sonya sees tons of temptation at the buffet, she asks for low calorie dishes; they make some smart choices. Sonya goes ahead to take healthy choices; Rondalee is very worried for JJ.

Bob is working Jackie and Gina like crazy, he wants them to focus on their needs right now; both girls realize they have to truly love themselves and being on this ranch has given them this passion. Jessie is pretty disappointed having to clean up in the house, the dishes are chaos; he hates having to do this with them. Damien couldn’t believe how disgusting things were, he knows they did it on purpose. Dolvett is so happy to have had his team win a challenge, he is really pushing his team to the max. Now to Vegas with the white team, they decide to go have a bit of fun at some club. JJ is very excited, he wants to dance though he’d like a drink. Sonya and Rondalee don’t drink at all, though the boys are drinking a little bit; they had shots brought to them though Sonya dumps it. Woody held it for a long time though he did the same. JJ left the group and is out dancing in the club.

The white team the next day are in the pool in the morning, they decide to push themselves very hard; they then decide to do some steps. They are walking up tons of stairs, they are getting very tired; though they make it to the top. We now see Jessie pushing Damien and Lori insanely hard, he’s making sure cleaning doesn’t stop them.

Bob is weighing at comeback canyon, first up is Jackie and she only lost 3 pounds. Gina is up next and this week she lost only 2 pounds; she is so shocked and upset at that result. Gina is so happy to have been here and will surely not go back to her old ways.

Now we are at the weigh in tonight, First up is the red team who had no penalty this week. Rob is up first for his team and lost 9 pounds, next is Jordan who lost 6 pounds, next up is Scott and he lost 5 pounds, last up is Blake and she lost only 3 pounds.

Next up is the white team who just got back from Vegas, they need to lose more than 28 pounds and Jen is so worried. First up is Rondalee and she lost only 3 pounds, next up is JJ and he lost 7 pounds, next up is Sonya and she lost 6 pounds, next up is Toma and he lost 8 pounds, last up is Woody and he lost 7 pounds saving his team from elimination.

Next up is the blue team and they only have two members, they must lose 11 pounds together. First up is Lori and she lost only 3 pounds, last up is Damien and he lost 9 pounds saving the blue team from elimination. Sadly Blake is going home this week, she is below the red line on her team and Dolvett tells her he still believes in her.

THE END!
