The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills RECAP 1/6/14: Season 4 Episode 10 “Catfight On The Catwalk”

The fight between Brandi and Joyce continues. After Brandi found herself losing the argument; she turned on the water works. Was her crying a manipulation? Yes, it was. She was fighting two people and all she could do was swear. When she couldn’t get them to back down then she tried to explain her actions. Suddenly she was telling them how depressed she’s been and when it didn’t work; she began to cry. She knew her friends would come to her difference and feel sorry for her which they did. Yolanda helped her to get away from the dinner and loaded her into the car.

Back at the table, Brandi’s friends do their best to justify Brandi’s actions. They even tried to use her missing puppy as a reason. Joyce wasn’t buying it and so they moved on to telling them why they all love Brandi. And sure they may have their reasons but there is no way they can convince Joyce or her husband that Brandi is truly a good person underneath it all.

Kim was finally able to get her dog back. Poor Kingsley had to go to boot camp just so he could learn some manners. The plan did work though. Kingsley appears to be an entirely different dog. For one he’s listening and not jumping up on people. Great traits for a pit-bull. Now all the dog needs is for Kim to be firm with him. She’s used to treating him like her baby and hopefully she won’t make the same mistakes.

Carlton has a good handle on her children. She’s very big on them being well behaved and appreciative of their charmed lives. She has them doing chores but somehow she turns it into a fun activity. She likes having such a strong relationship with her kids. That’s why her new tattoo will be in honor of one of her daughters. She had one of the girl write her name and she going tattoo the signature on the back of her neck. Carlton loves tattoos even though she isn’t one of those lucky enough not to feel the pain.

Joyce and Kyle planned a fun day out. They both wanted to learn how to golf and what better way than to plan a joint training session. Safe to say there wasn’t any hidden protégé among them, but they did get to laugh. That is before they brought up the dinner. Kyle wasn’t at the dinner party so she doesn’t know who started what or how the fight escalated. All she has is Joyce’s version of events. Joyce explains to her that Brandi was provoking until she threw a pity party for herself.

Kyle doesn’t make any judgment although she does listen. She could recognize some of the things Joyce was claiming Brandi did. It’s become a part of Brandi’s behavior lately. Meanwhile Brandi had a sit-down with Yolanda. Yolanda didn’t like that scene at dinner. She feels Brandi went too far and in talking to her friend she wants Brandi to let some of this nasty behavior go. It wasn’t required and Brandi needs to stop.

Lisa is out shopping for her new restaurant with Ken. As they were finishing up, Lisa brought up the now infamous dinner. She knows she needs to talk to Brandi but she couldn’t do it at the dinner. She didn’t want it to look like she was attacking her at the time. Yet Brandi’s behavior did bother her. Ken says Brandi wouldn’t have escalated that much if it were not for Joyce’s husband, Michael. He felt Michael shouldn’t have join the fight and Lisa doesn’t agree. She knows if she was in an argument then her own husband would defend her.

It’s time for Kyle’s charity fashion show. She had asked both Brandi and Joyce to be a part and here’s praying they don’t start anything. Joyce had sworn to her that she was simply going to ignore Brandi. While Brandi made sure to come with her support system. She doesn’t want to get into a fight either. Not when their at a charity fashion show.

Brandi realized after the fact her “Black” comment was inappropriate. Despite what she thought earlier, her black friend didn’t find it funny. So she at least realized why Joyce would be mad there.

Everyone has arrived including all the famous actresses. They even got Jamie Lee Curtis, an old friend of Kyle’s, to be the MC. There was peace and the women tried to stick to their separate corners. Only Lisa and Kyle get to cross the street. Lisa wanted to invite Joyce for lunch just for the two of them. She thinks a private setting would be best for clearing the air. Joyce is nervous about their lunch. She doesn’t want to hear any more excuses.

At the lunch next day, Lisa wants to explain her part in the dinner. She says she didn’t want to be the person constantly chastising Brandi and Lisa is surprised to learn Joyce doesn’t know what “chastise” means. Nor does she know “telling off” or “reprimand”.
