The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon Drama: NBC Bans Celebs From Appearing On Any Other Talk Show If They Want To Talk To Jimmy!

The landscape of late night talk shows has gone through some drastic and major changes recently. It’s no surprise that conflict and tension among networks is starting to bubble up toward the surface. Apparently, NBC, the station housing The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, is cracking down on their booking policies, which now state that celebs won’t be able to appear on any other talk show (airing on a rival network) if they want a coveted spot on Tonight. Um, I guess they can do this?

Sources connected to the major television networks say that NBC believes that Jimmy’s rating and influence is so great in this current late night landscape that they now have an incredible amount of bargaining power.

Supposedly, countless publicists, agents, and celebs have already received the new “rules.” So don’t plan on going on any other network if you want to have a funny session with the Fallon! NBC would, however, allow celebs to appear on other talk show-style shows on their network — so shows like Dateline and Today are all fair game. How kind of them.

What do you think about these new rules? Honestly, I think this is quite unfair. When celebs are working to promote their new films/products, quite often they’ll “make the rounds,” to increase their ultimate reach. Sound off in the comments section below!
