Tonight, TRUE BLOOD returns for its fourth episode of season 7 called “Death Is Not the End.” Tonight, Sookie tracks down H-vamps with a posse of vampires and humans; Jason and Sam are tasked with delivering more bad news; Pam recalls how she and Eric came to Fangtasia; Bill and Jessica find unexpected sources of nourishment.
On the last episode, Sookie (Anna Paquin) hatched a dangerous plan to take down the H-Vamps, even as Vince (Brett Rickaby) and his armed vigilantes posed an equally serious threat. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) got high with James (Nathan Parsons); Jason (Ryan Kwanten) eyes a family future with Violet (Karolina Wydra); Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) was forced to find a new place to stay; Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) shedded her past. Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) offered Eric (Alexander Skarsgrd) a compelling reason to return to Louisiana – and be the vampire he used to be. Did you watch the last episode? On tonight’s show, In the aftermath of yet another bloodbath, Sam (Sam Trammell), Sookie and Jason find themselves the bearers of bad news in Bon Temps and beyond. Pam recalls the events that led her and Eric to Shreveport and Fangtasia. Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) get nourishment from unexpected sources. Following a new lead, Sookie enlists a band of vampires and humans to track down the H-Vamps.

Tonight’s True Blood opens with with Big Daddy (Alcide’s father, Jackson) with Jenny and he gets a phone call from Sookie. Jackson asks Sookie what is wrong and she tells him Alcide is gone.
Meanwhile Jason calls Hoyt and tells him his mother passed. Hoyt breaks down in tears. Jason tells him she was killed by a vampire and Jason gives him his condolences. Hoyt tells Jason that his mother said she would die if he left.
Sookie asks Jackson when he can get there by. She warns Jackson not to come by night. Jackson tells Sookie that when he spoke to Alcide he never heard him happier. He tells Sookie that Alcide loved her.
Jason tells Hoyt that when he gets to town to call him and someone will pick him up. Jason is sobbing at how formal Hoyt was to him on the phone.
Sookie tells him he has to pull himself together because he is the law. She tells Jason to man up. Sam comes in to ask if they are ready.
Meanwhile Pam and Eric are on a plane and they were headed to Baton Rouge, when Eric finds out he tells Pam they are changing direction and going to Shreveport to get Willa. Eric wants to see Willa his progeny one more time before he dies. Pam tells Eric she hates Shreveport but Eric tells him it is, “a trip down memory lane.”
Memory Lane starts in a flashback: Eric and Pam get off the plane and the Majesty of the Authority meets them with their sentence. He tells Eric and Pam they are to run a small business in Shreveport and Eric tells him he would rather have, “a stake in his heart.”
Eric and Pam are given a tour of the business and it is a video store then they head downstairs and the video store has adult videos in the basement. Of course the Authority rep tells Eric he is the Sheriff of area 5 and when he runs this place he must give a large kick back to the authority. He also warns Eric and Pam that they are being watched. He gives them the keys and leaves.
Meanwhile Jason, Sookie and Sam stop by Lisa’s place. Sookie wants to see how she is holding up. Sookie calls Coby over to sit with Lisa and she tells them she knows they know what is going on is scary. Sookie assures them that their Mom, Arlene is tough and they know she is fighting as hard as she can to come back to them. Sookie promises them they are going to get their mother, Arlene back.
Jason, Sam and Sookie try to convince Andy to let them see Holly. Sookie wants to try to help Holly remember where Arlene is. Sookie talks to Holly and tries to get her to recount what she remembers. Holly claims everything is gone and she is frightened to remember what happened. Finally Holly agrees to let Arlene help. Holly starts to have horrific memories of vampires feeding off her. She finally remembers she was at Fangtasia in the dungeon. Holly starts to cry and Sookie tells her she did really, really good.
Sookie gets up and lets everyone know she is going to Bill’s house to formulate a plan.
Sam and Jason are driving and Sam turns the car around he wants to go to Fangtasia right away. Jason takes out a gun, puts it to his head and tells Sam he has to turn around because they can’t help anyone without the vampires, they have to wait till the sun goes down. Sam stops the car and gets pissed off…..
Over with Jessica she is in bed with James and she is in pain. James tells Jessica she has to eat, she is not healing because she is not eating. James threatens to go get Bill so Bill will make her eat. Bill comes back and asks Jessica how long it has been going on. James answers, “10 weeks.”
Bill realizes that Jessica is protecting Adilyn, Andy’s daughter but refuses to feed off her because she killed her sisters. Bill tells her it has to stop. Meanwhile, Sookie comes upstairs and offers to feed Jessica. Jessica refuses. Sookie tells her she does not care why she is not feeding she needs her help and she better feed because Sookie has lost too many people and does not want to lose more. Jessica finally agrees to feed but not on Sookie.
Flashback: Over at the video store a girl comes in and speaks to Pam about a video. The girl tells Pam she of course does not believe in vampires because they are not real and then in walks Eric and the girl looks at him and almost passes out. She is fascinated by him. The girl asks Pam if Eric and her are together and Pam tells her no. The girl asks if they are hiring and she requests an application.
Sam and Jason walk up to Rosie & Kevin’s house. They knock at the door and Rosie asks if she is under arrest. Jason asks if they can come in, they want to speak to her about Kevin. Jason tells Rosie that Kevin is gone. She wants to see him body, but they do not have it. She sobs… Rosie makes them promise that they are going to get the people that killed Kevin.
Bill tells Sookie he will get as many vampires as he can to come but he cannot guarantee many will come because there is nothing in it for them. Sookie asks why he is coming and he says, “because I owe you everything Sookie.” Sookie offers him to feed because she wants him strong.
Lafayette comes in to see Jessica and James and Jessica is crying James wants her to eat. Lafayette tells him to step aside he wants a chance with her. Lafayette tells her she has to eat. After much talking he convinces her – and out come the fangs and she feeds on his arm. Her injuries start to heal.
Flashback: Meanwhile over at the video store the girl, Ginger who they hired shows up with a chair. Ginger suggests to Pam that they remodel the video store and build a bar. There will be a platform and the chair will be a throne. Ginger wants Eric on the throne because Ginger thinks Eric is sex on a throne. Ginger suggests they call the new bar Fangtasia. Pam tells Ginger that the name of the bar is perfect. Pam walks up to her and tells her she is sorry for what she is about to do. Then she glamors Ginger and tells her she is going to tell Eric it is her idea and not Ginger.
Current time: Next see Pam and Eric in the plane and then realize that the scenes with Eric and Pam in the video store were a flashback and Pam is admitting to Eric that she stole the idea of Fangtasia from Ginger. Pam asks Eric if he still loved her.
Bill is having a meeting with Jason, Sookie, Sam and other people who are going to help them get Arlene and the people kidnapped back. Someone knocks on the door and it is Erica and Pam. Sookie runs and hugs Eric and realizes that he is infected. He tells them he is only stage one. Pam tells Eric they are there for Willa….
Eric asks to speak to Sookie alone. Sookie tells Eric he cannot die on her. Eric asks Sookie how she is and she says,“shitty”… She tells Eric that Alcide died that morning. Eric embraces her and tells her he is sorry. Sookie asks Eric where he was. He tells her he decided to see the world one last time. Eric asks Sookie what type of trouble she is in.
Meanwhile outside everyone is getting ready to go and storm Fangtasia. Willa shows up and wants to see Eric. Eric tells Willa they need to help Sookie. Eric comes out and tells Bill that although they are outnumbered there is another way in. Pam replies, “We’re going? She is like a f*cking fungus that won’t go away.”
Sam is a rat and crawls into the dungeons where Arlene and everyone is being held. He shifts into Sam and tells them that they are coming to help them.
Sam leaves!
Outside the building Eric is punching the cement – he is not strong enough so Bill does it and wall comes down. Sam comes out of the wall and tells them that their people are alive. Eric wants to go but Pam thinks he is too weak and she tells Eric she is going. Bill and Pam come in and they see Sam’s girlfriend and the other girl being held but Arlene is gone.
The infected vampires took Arlene to feed on. While Pam takes them out to the others. Bill goes upstairs to see if he can help Arlene. While he is walking upstairs he hears Eric’s voice. Eric tells the infected vampires that he is infected to and needs sanctuary and he has his own human. They smell Sookie and let Eric in. As Eric is talking to them he tells them he brought some friends and just when they were coming to help the townspeople break in and start throwing fire in.
Sookie screams and looks for Arlene, she realizes that Arlene is close to death and tries to find a healthy vampire to feed Arlene so she does not die. There is so much confusion with the townspeople outside killing every vampire in sight it is difficult to get a healthy vampire to help.
Arlene starts to fade and she sees Terry and starts to go towards him, towards the light. Finally in the nick of time Sookie finds Keith (a healthy vampire) who saves Arlene. Sookie embraces Arlene and as she does Eric walks in and looks at her and smiles and then turns around and leaves.
