Tonight on Bravo Vanderpump Rules returns with a new Monday, December 1, season 3 episode 5 called, “In The Doghouse,” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode Kristen and Tom Sandoval return to SUR after their suspensions. Tom Schwartz adopts a puppy to delay marriage talks with Katie, but their relationship is tested when Jax spreads rumors that Katie cheated.
On the last episode, Stassi reconnected with the SUR crowd at a Hollywood party, but Scheana and Kristen made sure she didn’t enjoy a happy homecoming. Jax learned who his real friends were when he underwent a painful nose job. Tom Schwartz suffered a panic attack and ran out on his job at PUMP, infuriating both Katie and Lisa Vanderpump. Schwartz has been feeling the pressure from his girlfriend Katie on tonight’s episode of “Vanderpump Rules”. Since Stassi came back, engaged and talking about babies; Katie has been talking about their own future. And more importantly about the children she hopes to have in that future.
And, well, children are a scary topic. So Schwartz is hoping to waylay her a bit by adopting a dog. He thinks a dog will work as a great substitute. But Schwartz friends don’t agree with him on adopting a dog. They feel like a dog is too much responsibility and frankly they don’t want him more attached to Katie than he already is.
Jax, for one believes, Schwartz and Katie should break up. Schwartz has always come off as being unhappy in his relationship with Katie and that’s why Jax doesn’t want them together. And while that appears to be very admirable of Jax, he takes his protectiveness a tad too far.
Jax returned to work along with Kristen and Tom. And when Katie tried to approach him to say she was happy to see him back – he was rude to her. He was upset she hadn’t texted him after surgery and he asked if she had gotten Stassi’s permission first before she came up to talk to him.
So of course Katie walked away angry with him. She said she wanted to be nice to him because he was Schwartz’s best friend and that ended up riling Jax. Jax has heard the rumor that Katie wants to get engaged and he doesn’t think Schwartz should propose to a woman that’s allegedly cheated on him.
A few months ago, Katie was at a bar and eye-witnesses have claimed she motor-boated some’s guy privates. But seeing as the witnesses were Jax and Scheana – Kristen wants Katie to admit to what she did rather than have the info come out from two people that are known to dislike her.
Kristen is going to be working on Katie. And Jax is going to be working on Schwartz. Schwartz are going to make one last effort to convince him to break up with Katie.
Jax regrets all the time he wasted on Stassi. He says that things had gotten so bad between them – he was staying with her at the end just so he wouldn’t have to divide their things. And he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Schwartz. So once he was done hanging out by the pool – he tried to tell Schwartz again about what he saw.
And again Schwartz didn’t believe him. Right now Schwartz and Katie are in a good place and Schwartz doesn’t want to ruin that. Especially over some rumor. It’s not like Jax hasn’t been colorful with the truth in the past. So Schwartz has every reason not to believe him over his girlfriend.
Katie said nothing happened so nothing happened. And Kristen confronting her did not change Katie’s story. Often people say Katie is doing something or another because Stassi told her to. But Katie denies being anyone’s puppet.
As for Stassi, she seems to be moving on from her former life at SUR. She’s gotten her leg in the personal styling business, thanks to Lisa, and for the most part she’s stayed away from the drama brewing at the restaurant. Sure she talks to Katie about what’s been happening but it’s not like she showed up at the restaurant to specifically stir up trouble.
And Stassi even left brunch with Katie early just so she wouldn’t have to run into Jax. Schwartz was bicycling nearby and he texted his girlfriend that he was going to stop by with the guys. So Stassi and Kristina left before the guys could show up.
Yet when Jax and Katie started to go at it – Stassi’s name was once again brought into a conversation that doesn’t involve her.
Katie wanted Jax to stop with the story about her cheating on Schwartz and he wasn’t letting it go. So Katie got upset and then Schwartz got upset. But truly nothing happened. Schwartz didn’t tell his friends to lay off and Katie felt like he wasn’t defending her like he should have.
And in next week’s promo, Jax is back at trying to break them up. This time though he’s saying Schwartz wasn’t only always faithful to Katie.
