RECAP:

The show begins with Joanna staring at her son Frederick on the couch. She has a flashback to the moment when they all came through the portal. When Joanna goes to place a blanket on her sleeping son, she sees the King’s Symbol branded on his chest. Soon, Wendy returns home. Wendy, already quick to believe that Fred is up to something dirty, thinks that this should be proof enough for Joanna that Fred isn’t all that he says he is. Wendy says that being branded with the King’s Symbol illustrates the highest form of loyalty to the king — their father. Wendy reveals that being branded with this symbol means that Frederick is spiritually bound to the king.

Joanna, desperate to see the best in her son, takes his side and wants Wendy to hold off judgments — as they don’t know under what circumstances Fred took the Oath. Perhaps he was forced.

Wendy also says that she got rid of the earring that Fred gave her because she thought he spelled it. Joanna wants to see the best in her son, but she’s beginning — though hesitant — to have her doubts. With the recent murders in town, Joanna says they need to make sure he isn’t responsible for them. But they need to be smart about it. Wendy says that she knows how they can get the information they need without asking him anything at all.

Meanwhile, Freya prepares to go find Killian. As she prepares, she and Ingrid talk about Dash and how his current situation is dangerous for everyone. Before she leaves, Ingrid and Freya stumble upon a mysterious door. Joanna says that the door is just that — a door. However, she’s being strange about it. Freya’s cab arrives. Before she walks out the door, Joanna places a necklace around Freya’s neck and says a spell of protection. MAY SHE FIND THE ONE SHE SEEKS.

Dash continues to struggle with his subconscious — visions of Killian.

Wendy visits the morgue. She visits the corpse of Dr. Foster and “awakens” his corpse briefly in an effort to obtain answers. He doesn’t tell her who murdered him; instead, he says that something bad is coming. Wendy finds the Mark of the King carved into his chest and takes a picture of it with her phone.

Joanna is preparing dinner. She receives the text from Wendy. Frederick comes home. She begins to question Fred about their home. Fred tells her that his grandfather (Joanna’s father) has built a cult around himself and is now worshipped like a god. He tries to tell her again that he’s changed — that he didn’t know what he was doing back then. He leaves to go take a shower. Joanna has a flashback to the time he betrayed them all.

Dash thinks he found the identity of the person blackmailing him. The vision of Killian tells him to go kill him.

Wendy prepares a spell to show her and Joanna where Fred’s been going. Fred told Joanna that he’s going to the Bent Elbow; however, the spell the “tracking” spell Wendy prepared reveals that Frederick stole a knife from the kitchen . . . .

Freya arrives at Killian’s hotel room. Eva answers the door. Killian arrives soon after and reveals that Eva is now his wife.

Freya asks Killian what happened to him after he left East End. He says he doesn’t really remember, but he does remember Eva nursed him back to health. Freya is having a hard time seeing Killian with Eva, who’s being quite affectionate with him. Freya tells Killian that she and Dash are no longer together. Freya also tells him that his mother is dead and that she thought he might want to return to East End to be with his brother.

Joanna and Wendy walk through the woods, following Fred’s path.

Dash finds a red car. He blows it up with his magic. He calls someone on the phone and tells the man on the other end that if he ever tries to contact him again that it will be his last.

Wendy and Joanna find the real Frederick in the forest. He’s conducting a ritual in Old Norse. He quickly disappears after he hears a rustle in the woods.

Meanwhile, Eva tries to gain Freya’s trust.

Ingrid goes to visit Dash. She tries to tell him that she thinks the murders were committed by “someone like us.” Before she can finish her explanation, Dash receives a text from his blackmailer. He’s upstairs. Dash goes up to see him. The man threatens him. He wants more money. Ingrid comes upstairs to see what’s going on. The man pulls out a gun. Dash knocks the gun out of  the man’s hand and then goes total CRAZY on him. He kills him. Ingrid confirms the death.

Ingrid finally tells Dash that he’s a warlock and that she can help him get his powers under control. But they’re not sure what they’re going to do with the body of the man he accidentally killed. . . .

Frederick returns home. Wendy and Joanna are sitting at the table. They demand to know why Fred was in the forest conducting a blood ritual. Fred continues putting on his act and says that he was simply trying to ERASE the King’s Mark from his chest, and he also denies that he’s the person behind the murders.

Wendy storms off. She can’t believe Joanna’s being so close minded.

Joanna says that she needs to tell Fred something about that night — that night he betrayed them all.

FLASHBACK:

We see Joanna’s father come through the portal that they used to “escape.” Wendy shouts, “Just kill us already!” But the king says that death is far too forgiving a punishment. This is how they all obtained their curses. Before the king ventured back into the portal — back to his world — Joanna cut off his hand and, with it, came the golden snake key that was used to break open the portal. We see Joanna try to save Fred from following his grandfather, but she ultimately lets go.

In the present day, Joanna tells Fred that it was all her fault, that she was the one who let go. Fred says that she didn’t let go. Back then, he wanted to return with him. Joanna breaks down and says that she’s so sorry for the things he’s been through alone, with nobody to love him.

Victor returns home. He hears something on the porch. He goes to check it out.

As he returns to open the front door, something comes for him.

Meanwhile, Dash disposes of the body. Ingrid assists him. Dash hurls the body over the cliff. Back in the car, Ingrid has a glass jar with a small doll submerged in water. She tells Dash that, as long as the doll stays submerged, nobody will ever locate the body. Dash appreciates that she’s been honest with him.

Dash comes out to find Freya. He reveals that he thinks he’s found The One with Eva.

Killian returns home and reunites with Dash.

Joanna walks into the living room to find Frederick sleeping on the couch. She calls Victor to see where he is.

We see Victor wrapped/hanging in chains while dropping with blood.
