Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are adopting another child, a Syrian refugee, according to a recent report. The celebrity couple are adding to their already massive family which includes 14-year-old Maddox, 11-year-old Pax, 10-year-old Zahara, nine-year-old Shiloh and seven-year-old twins Pax and Vivienne.
With all of the trips that Angelina Jolie has been taking back and forth to Syria over the course of the past year, we all knew it was only a matter of time before she filed the papers to bring a refugee home and legally adopt him or her. Ironically, in 2014 reports hit the internet that Angie and Brad were adopting a Syrian girl, now it looks like the child is actually a boy.
According to this week’s edition of In Touch Magazine, Angelina Jolie actually fell in love with a set of three brothers while she was working in Syria. The actress reportedly informed her husband Brad Pitt that she wanted to adopt all three of them and keep the siblings together, but he informed her it was not happening, and there was no way they could raise nine children. So, Angelina Jolie made the “heartbreaking decision” to only adopt one of the three children.
The magazine’s insider dished, “Going from six children to nine was just way too much, and Brad was concerned about how it would impact their six other kids. But Angie didn’t put up a fight. She knew it just wouldn’t work. It has been a very long process to adopt the Syrian orphan. The red tape has been almost impossible at times. It could take at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States.”
We’re not sure how we feel about Angelina splitting up the three brothers, and only taking one of them home with her. Doesn’t that seem a bit cruel?
