Angelina Jolie is looking even worse in the eyes of Hollywood big wigs than she did in late 2014 as more Sony nasty emails have been leaked. It seems like Sony is in far me trouble than they anticipated. Four months after their company emails were hacked, and released for the public to see, they are still feeling the heat. On Tuesday, April 14, Julian Assange and his organization WikiLeaks posted more than 173,000 private emails and more than 30,000 documents from the Sony entertainment.
We know that the first time Sony was hacked in December was through North Korea, who threatened to attack the US if the film The Interview, which is about North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Un, was released.
One thing we can learn from these emails is that Hollywood executives do not think too highly of superstar actress, Angelina Jolie. Radar Online has collected their thoughts on the actress, and it is not something that Jolie would want to hear.
Back in December, Scott Rudin, producer of The Social Network, called Angelina Jolie a “minimally talented, spoiled brat.” If you think that is bad, wait until you hear what else they found. Rubin goes onto say that Jolie has a “rampaging spoiled ego,” and went on to call her insane! He said, “this will just spin even further out in Crazyland, but let me tell you I have zero appetite for the indulgence of spoiled brats and I will tell her this myself if you don’t.”
Apparently, Rudin is not the only one who thinks Jolie has an ego. When one of the execs worried if Jolie would be upset about rescheduling a meeting, another responded with, “She knows it’s off. Calm down. She’s an actress for hire, not Cleopatra!” When Angelina Jolie discussed who she wanted to direct a potential Cleopatra film, Rudin said, in all caps, “YOU BETTER SHUT ANGIE DOWN…I have no desire to be making a movie with her.” Jeeze! We can’t imagine how difficult she can be if a director does not even want to work with her.
Of course, there was one logical person working at Sony. They said, “You are both crazy to put this in an email.” In hindsight, we are sure everyone agrees. The emails go onto reveal that when there was a little bit of trouble with the Cleopatra movie, Joile was “pissed off.” Jolie writes, “I’m sure you can hear my frustration as I can hear yours,” and admits that she may have sounded “ungrateful.”
Amy Pascal also got in on the gossip regarding Jolie saying, of her film Unbroken, “Doesn’t sound like academy awards to me.” Susan Van Der Werff responded; “That’s exactly what I thought when I read the review. Angie has been working very hard at wooing hfpa though.”
In the first batch of published emails Pascal even threw a dig at Jolie’s adopted daughter Zahara by calling TV, “the new black baby.” In February 2015, Pascal resigned as Sony Pictures co-chair. We can’t imagine why.
