When Bachelor In Paradise 2015 spoilers teased that Kirk DeWindt and Carly Waddell were going to break up during the Season 2 finale – no one anticipated how dramatic and down right painful to watch their break-up was really going to be. On the Sunday September 6 episode of Bachelor In Paradise, Kirk completely blindsided Carly and informed her that they were over – while she was getting ready to spend the night in the Fantasy Suite with him!
Seriously, what happened between Carly and Kirk? We were just as baffled as poor Carly was – no one saw that coming. To add insult to injury, Kirk actually tried to follow her around and explain to her why they “weren’t working” but his explanations fell upon deaf ears – Carly didn’t want to hear anything he had to say. And, we can’t say that we blame her. Kirk and Carly have been a couple in paradise since day one, and everything appeared fine between them. What inspired Kirk out of nowhere to decide that he didn’t want to be with her? Or what inspired him to pretend that he did want to be with her that entire time?
Kirk and Carly’s break-up was by far one of the most unexpected and dramatic parts on Bachelor In Paradise this season – and there was clearly no editing involved. Watching it unwind of the ABC dating show was almost painful to watch, because it was that raw and real. After the episode aired on ABC, Bachelor Nation took to social media to offer Carly Waddell their well wishes – discuss how much of a douchebag Kirk DeWindt is for dumping her after spending weeks discussing their future together. General consensus on the internet is that Kirk used Carly and kept the relationship going just so that he could stay on the reality TV show.
Don’t get too tore up for Carly Waddell though. Since she returned home from paradise the aspiring country music singer has been spotted out and about with another Bachelor In Paradise cast member – Dan Cox! Dan didn’t exactly find love in paradise either, and after a couple of failed relationships, namely with Ashley Salter – he returned home single and ready to mingle as well. If you think about it, Carly and Dan would make a super cute couple, and after being blindsided with a break-up by Kirk, Carly deserves a sweetheart like Dan Cox in her life.
