#BB17 starts with everyone coming in from the BOB and Shelli is upset that Clay is still on the block. Vanessa is also stressed and says it’s going to be a bloodbath. She didn’t want to be the one to backdoor Austin. She tells Jackie and Shelli they’ll stick to the plan but she will be the one to put it into play. Jackie is upset she’s out as HOH. Shelli says they need to let Liz know and Vanessa says to keep it locked up for now.

James tells Becky and Clay he’s sorry and really tried to throw it. Jason says they know Liz is smart and Becky says James is good. She worries the plan could change and send her home. John tells Clay he can’t freak out until the names are drawn then has to play hard. John thinks this is funny since he’s been there so many times and even sat through eviction. Austin and Liz talk and Liz tells him that she thinks James was trying to throw it.

Austin congratulates her and wonders if it was a set up and says Vanessa needs to know. He wonders if they’re really targeting Liz. Austin goes upstairs to chat with Vanessa and says Liz told him she thinks that James threw it. Vanessa says she has to play this smart and Austin wonders if Liz is being set up. Vanessa says no but he says Liz thinks so and says he’ll send Liz up then says something about James being upset.

He leaves and Vanessa calls him Judas. Austin lies in bed with Liz tickling her. She says they’re besties but she doesn’t seem in a romantic light even though he does. It’s a #Bbnomance. She says it’s hard because he keeps pushing it. Austin thinks things are going great – he’s clueless. He finally sneaks in a kiss and she has to put an end to it. She’s icked out and she rolls over away after making some comments. He later says in confessional it was a great kiss for both of them and he hopes there will be more.

Vanessa calls people for the veto competition drawing. Becky and Clay come up to stand with her to do the drawing. Vanessa hopes Austin doesn’t get picked. It’s houseguest choice and she picks Shelli. She’s excited. Austin looks concerned. Clay draws John. He says it’s like getting called in for work on the weekend since he has no stake in it. Liz is the last. That worries Vanessa because she’s not in on the plan to back door Austin.

Becky goes upstairs with Jackie then Shelli follows. Vanessa says they can keep Liz in the dark but she might feel like she was done dirty. She says or they can tell Liz what’s going on. Shelli says Liz will either confront Austin about betraying her or warning him. Shelli says to wait until after POV. Steve watches a camera follow him and says it’s weird. He plays with it. He gets behind it to trick it.

It whirs and makes noises. He laughs and goes. Jason is hosting the veto competition dressed like a park ranger. This is called #GetNutty. The competitors come out in squirrel costumes. Clay thinks Shelli looks sexy in her squirrel tale. Jason says they have to store 250 nuts. They have to roll an acorn up over an incline – each round trip gets you one point but if you drop it, you restart your score.

Vanessa hopes Liz doesn’t win. Clay really wants to win to take himself off the block and says he literally can’t drop the ball. This will be an endurance one. Vanessa has to restart when she drops her and so does Liz. Clay is way ahead by 10. Becky is in second. She knows they told her she wasn’t at risk but still wants to get herself off the block but then she drops it.

Clay is up to 80, double anyone else. Vanessa drops again then so does Shelli, Becky and Liz. John had half what Clay does and the others keeps dropping. Austin cheers for Liz who is doing the worst. John is gaining on Clay. Shelli drops hers again. Vanessa does too. Shelli hope Clay can win this and get himself off the block. Becky is close to John and Clay is up over 209. He stops to take a breath.

John wonders if Clay is too winded to win it and if he can take over. Shelli thinks he needs to get it in gear. Becky drops hers and is back to zero which takes her out of it unless John and Clay drop. Steve says she’s crushed and miserable. Steve says that makes him so freaking happy. He says good luck back in Colorado. Clay is only 25 away from a win.

John is catching up fast. Clay is worried about dropping his and John winning it. Clay wins it by a small margin from John. Becky is crying and upset. She says this is the third competition in a row she has lost. Vanessa is thrilled that Liz didn’t win and says the plan to back door Austin is in motion. Back in the house, they cheer that Clay finally won something. Clay calls it a Texas ass whuppin.

Becky cries to Jackie and is very upset that she lost and says she feels defeated. Vanessa pulls Liz in to talk to her about the Austin plan. Shelli is there too. Liz says she doesn’t want to be in the middle of something but Vanessa says she is. Vanessa tells her that Austin told Jason about the twins and their names. Liz says she knew he was going to do it as insurance.

Vanessa then says he made a deal with the others that they could take out Julia as long as they leave Liz alone. Liz says she doesn’t even like him. She thinks it was dumb what he did but says she doesn’t think it was malicious. Vanessa says he’s making a huge target of Liz by pulling her into a showmance. Liz insists that Austin has her back and Shelli asks why she’s choosing Austin.

Liz reminds them if he goes out, he’s a vote on their size. Vanessa decides to get Austin to explain himself. Vanessa tells him that his back is against the wall and says Liz is in a twinmance and showmance and is a huge target. Austin says he’s falling in love with her and Vanessa asks why would he set her sister up with Jason. He says it was an insurance policy.

Austin says he thought he could trust Jason. She tells him she was the only person he could trust. Vanessa cries and says she trusted him and he violated her trust. Austin says he was trying to help them but messed up. She says she has all the blood on her hands and forgave him for the POV. He asks if she’s going to put him up and she says maybe. He begs her not to and says he was just scared.

Austin says he would never go against her in the game and will do anything she wants. Vanessa sighs. Vanessa says she thinks he was just being an idiot and made an emotional mood. She says the whole house wants him up and she gave her word. He says he will sacrifice himself for her and begs her not to be the one to send him out. She tells him to go try and work something out with Shelli and Clay.

Austin goes to talk to Shelli and Clay and says Vanessa told him everything. They go into a private room to talk. Austin kicks Steve out so they can chat in private. Austin says he’s upset at Jason and says he’s falling for Liz and is thinking emotionally and wanted to get the twins into the house. Austin says he doesn’t even care about the money. Clay says they have to trust him.

Austin says he fell in love and that’s all that matters. Clay says he’s being too emotional and it’s hurting their game. He says he didn’t think this would impact the alliance and says he won’t go out against them. Shelli says they have to keep their numbers solid and Austin says they need to convince Vanessa not to put him up. He hopes they can come up with a solution.

Shelli tells Austin to be quiet and says to listen. She says Clay has POV, the twins are coming in and Vanessa is POV. She says it’s not in their best interests to send him home. Vanessa calls everyone to the living room and says they’re about to have the Outback Steakhouse dinner and says each one gets to bring a guest. Vanessa picks Becky. Liz chooses Austin. James chooses Clay. Meg is upset – she thought he could have gotten a kiss from her after a few drinks.

Vanessa says they need to go get dressed up to dine. James tells Shelli he’s going to steal her man. Shelli tells Clay she will miss him and says it’s the longest they’ll have been apart. They head outside for dinner. Austin thinks this is his first date with Liz. They all have a drink. The others sit around and Shelli says it’s so boring now. They are served huge steaks and sides with cocktails.

Clay says the only thing that would make it better was if Shelli was there – she’s pumicing her heels. James says what would make this perfect is a kiss and Clay acts like he’s going to kiss him. Upstairs, Shelli and Vanessa talks with Clay. Shelli says Austin is a number for them. Vanessa says her numbers are worse if she doesn’t put him up since she promised the others she would.

Vanessa says if they want to make a statement to stand with her, she’ll do it but says she doesn’t want to stab them in the back. Shelli says they’ll lose a number and a fighter. She says she can’t go against Jackie unless she finds out she broke her word to it. Then they talk about how Jason is the only strategic player the other side has. Vanessa says she’s really torn.

Clay thinks about his veto, but we know he’s going to use it on himself. Austin hopes that Vanessa has his back and says he did a lot of work to repair things and hopes he doesn’t go up on the block. Vanessa says she’s been trying to keep her options open and has to choose between the two sides. They are called for the veto meeting. Clay uses the veto on himself.

Vanessa says this is the hardest decision she’s made and says this is someone she really likes and she nominates Jason. The other house guests are stunned. Clay adjourns the veto meeting. Vanessa says she adores him and hated to see the look in his eyes when she nominated him but it was good for her game but she doesn’t like the cost. Jackie is blindsided and says Vanessa backdoored Jeff and now Jason.

Austin is happy that Jason is on the block and he’s safe. He says Jason manipulated him and tried to humiliate him (except Liz soon). Meg says Jason is her BFF and Vanessa has betrayed them all. Jason says Vanessa is a scumbag bitch for doing this. He says he won’t lay down and die and make it easier for her. He says if he stays, that bitch is going next.

THE END!
