The 2015 WE Fest being held in Minnesota this August is being headlined by none other than Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. What once was Country music’s power couple Blake Shelton and Miranda lambert will be performing and neither one is willing to pull out amid their nasty divorce battle but will commit to their agreement to perform. While Miranda is said to perform on August 7, Blake is performing on August 8 so chances of them running into each other at the festival may be slim to none!
Although, the split is not amicable ticket sales are through the roof, and almost sold out. On Friday night July 24, Blake took to the stage since his highly publicized divorce from Miranda, at the Country Jam USA Music Festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Blake was in good spirits as he performed for his fans, but 45 minutes into his concert thunder and lightning shut the concert down early. Blake shared with his fans how nervous he was saying “I’m nervous tonight and I tend to drink when I get nervous” per PEOPLE Magazine.
Blake even commented on the women in the audience saying “So many hot girls out here tonight.” At one point he even tried to get the fans on the big screen but the camera crew could not get it to work, so Blake said jokingly “Come on, who’s in charge here? This isn’t my week.” Since filing for divorce on July 6 in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma the two can’t seem to stay out of the spotlight, even though the divorce has been finalized and sealed. Blake suspected Miranda of cheating with Country singer Chris Young, who quickly dispelled the rumors calling them fake. But Blake wasn’t the only one with the side eye, seems Miranda accused him of cheating too. What do you think about their chances of running into each other?
On Monday July 20, after the judge granted their divorce they released a joint statement which read “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts we move on separately.” Despite the divorce the two did take to Twitter to promote good friend Ashley Monroe’s new album. Did their music give hints of the split to come?
