Bobbi Kristina Brown Out Of Medically Induced Coma, Still On Life Support: Houston and Brown Family Optimistic She'll Wake Up

Bobbi Kristina Brown has remained on life-support in a Georgia hospital since January 31st after she was found unresponsive in her bath tub. Since Bobbi Kristina arrived at the hospital her medical prognosis has been bleak, although her family remains optimistic that Bobbi Kristina will wake up – multiple medical professionals have made statements revealing that the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s survival odds are grim.

According to a new report from People Magazine on Wednesday February 25th, Bobbi Kristina’s medical team has decided to take her out of the medically induced coma that she has been in – however she will remain on life support. Subhashini Ramesh, a physician who is not currently working on Bobbi Kristina’s case explained to People Magazine what removing her from a coma means. Ramesh revealed, “They take them off a medically induced coma for two reasons – because the underlying problem has improved, or to simply get a sense of what the patient is able to do for themselves. Obviously, she did not meet the criteria for brain death if she underwent a tracheostomy. She still could have a devastating injury, though.”

Despite reports of Bobbi Kristina being brain dead and rumors that her family was going to remove her from life support, the Browns and Houstons remain optimistic that Bobbi will pull through. A friend of the family dished to People Magazine, “There will be a sign of hope, and then nothing. Every day, we wonder if this will be the day that we get good news.” In reference to weaning Bobbi off from the medically induced coma the source explained, “We’re all hoping and praying that this will give us some answers.”

So, it sounds like Bobbi Kristina’s medical team is bringing her out of the coma to see what kind of damage the drowning accident really did to the troubled young woman. Do you think that Bobbi Kristina will pull through? If you were her family how long would you keep her on life-support? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
