Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Cissy Houston Wants $20 Million Inheritance But Downplays Bobbi’s Health Improvements?

Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Cissy Houston Wants $20 Million Inheritance But Downplays Bobbi's Health Improvements?

Bobbi Kristina Brown is currently awake, breathing on her own, and reportedly being moved to the home she once shared with Nick Gordon. The Brown family and the Houston’s have been at war over Bobbi Kristina’s condition, as Cissy Houston downplays Bobbi’s health improvements making it clear she is not giving up on the $20 million inheritance.

Since Bobbi Kristina was found face down in a bathtub full of water, Bobby Brown has been fighting for his daughter’s life. Pat Houston, along with Cissy Houston, has been pushing Brown to remove Bobbi from life support and “let her gon” so the “nightmare” would end. Cissy and Pat have downplayed every improvement, completely contradicting Bobby Brown’s statements.

After Bobby announced that Bobbi Kristina was “awake” and watching him, Cissy Houston was quick to release a statement basically stating nothing had changed, and underlined the claim that Bobbi has brain damage. Cissy has also been very vocal, and almost cold-hearted, with her views regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown, repeatedly telling media outlets she was “alright” and even “ready” for her granddaughter to die.

Cissy Houston recently told ET, “She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all.” Bobbi Kristina’s grandma added, “She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her…I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.” To ensure Cissy doesn’t look completely cold-hearted, she also claimed, “We go to the hospital every day and pray. And, you know, I talk to [Bobbi Kristina] because she can still hear, and I rub her hand and whatnot.”

It’s an odd reaction to the death of a supposed loved family member. However, Cissy and Pat Houston may have bitter feelings. The mother and sister-in-law of Whitney Houston may still be secretly resentful and angry that Whitney left all her money to Bobbi Kristina. The family never did much in the way of helping Bobbi or show signs of real concern over her drug abuse issues. So, it’s hardly surprising the Houstons, led by Pat and Cissy, are constantly telling press there is no improvement in her condition, despite the fact that Bobbi has went from depending on life support and having violent seizures to breathing on her own and opening her eyes.

An unnamed Brown family told People, “Bobby is keeping a positive outlook. It is not helpful for anyone to say that there’s no hope or that she’s not progressing.” It’s true that Bobby Brown has been watching and fighting for Bobbi Kristina since day one. While he may be hoping for something that won’t happen to the point fans wonder if he might be in denial, he isn’t giving up.

Now that Bobbi Kristina has nearly died, ironically enough under the same eerie circumstances as her mother, Pat and Cissy Houston seem eager to inherit the $20 million left Bobbi. The money has been such an underlining issue, that Bobby Brown fought for guardianship of the inheritance, but the Houston family countered the petition. On May 8, a judge granted co-guardianship of Bobbi Kristina’s health decisions to Pat Houston, taking some of Bobby’s control over what will happen to Bobbi. An attorney was also given control of the inheritance.

It’s pretty sad. It seems Cissy Houston has given up on Bobbi Kristina Brown, but not the $20 million inheritance. What do you think CDL readers? Is Bobby Brown in denial about Bobbi Kristina Brown’s fate, or is Cissy Houston just after the $20 million inheritance money?
