It was reported weeks ago that Bruce Jenner would be appearing on Diane Sawyer for an exclusive interview confirming his sex change and detailing everything the transition that went with it. And now, the first promo for the interview has released on ABC, teasing the anticipated sit-down between Bruce and Diane on April 24th.
The video doesn’t show any bit of footage from the actual interview, but an ominous-sounding voiceover says, “Friday, April 24 on ABC, Bruce Jenner, The Interview. The journey, the decisions, the future, the Diane Sawyer exclusive.”
The two-hour special will detail Bruce Jenner’s decision to move forward with the sex change, and all of his personal decisions that came along with it. Diane Sawyer, in particular, was chosen because of her support of the LGBT community, and obviously, her cache and brand appeal as an interviewer.
I’m sure we’ll also touch upon his personal and family life during the interview, but it’ll be interesting to see whether there’s any mention of the fatal car crash that Bruce was involved in a few weeks ago. Bruce got off relatively lightly from the whole incident, considering that he was the one who caused it. However, it’s unlikely that this interview will contain anything from that, since it was conducted a while ago and will revolve around Bruce’s sex change transition and his decision to become a woman.

I’m sure they’re saving the goods for later promos, but this comes off more as a preliminary promo than anything actually worth watching.
