Chris Brown has completely avoided the topic of his daughter Royalty in the media for the past month, even though reports confirmed that he did, indeed, have a 9-month old daughter. Now the convicted felon is using photos of Royalty for some positive PR? The reports are still a little vague, but the baby was born to singer Nia Guzman. Nia never came forward with the news because the paternity of the child was still unsure, but it seems like any lingering doubts have since been cleared up.
More than a month after the news first leaked, Chris Brown posted an Instagram photo with both him and his baby girl wearing red, captioning it, “God has blessed me with my twin. #ROYALTY.”
Since coming out publicly with the news, Chris has since been much more open with his daughter, reportedly even bringing her backstage to a Jimmy Kimmel Live taping. He’s also reportedly trying to convince Nia to move from Houston to Los Angeles so he can have more direct involvement in his daughter’s life, which is probably periphery at best right now.
Honestly, I’m surprised that both Chris Brown and his team have managed to handle this whole situation so smoothly. Knowing Chris’ penchant for dramatics and ridiculousness, you’d think that everything would have been a lot more.. well, difficult, right? But apart from Karrueche Tran dumping Chris after finding out about the baby, it’s been reasonably drama-free. There might be some issues with custody later down the line, but it seems like Chris Brown and Nia Guzman have established a solid base of raising Royalty.
